Ah, I was just joking. Certainly lame, but I can't always control what comes out of my mouth. It's gotten me close to a severe beating on a least a couple of occasions...

On a related note, has anyone tried Leffe Blonde for the first time, after reading this thread ?

Would you not agree it's the absolute best beer at almost 6.5% (high alcohol content but doesn't taste like it). I believe in getting alcohol bang for my buck and also bang for my stomach volume capacity - I once nearly freaked when a bartender tried to light my Bacardi 151 on fire. I was like "Are you insane, you're burning all the alcohol away !!".

I am looking forward to that. Only 5 minutes from my place. I thought it was on a Friday though.

That is one beer I've always wanted to try and I've had it in my hands a few time. But then I always put it back on the shelf for something else. Don't really know why either.

Thats koolaid.

McEwans Scotch Ale(Canada and US import) had 8%ABV and was the bees knees. That stuff would sneak up on you though. Don't drink it like two fisted draft.

Sadly I don't think you can drink it at all here now.

One of the best beers I ever had was CRISTAL in Cuba, but have not been able to find it in Edmonton. Anyone know if it is available in Edmonton?

Alleykat's next big bottle is going to be a Hefeweizen, and they have also recently brewed a Neapolitan Stout.

Not sure about the Stout, but the Hefe should be great for the summer!

Innis&Gunn is fantastic. I'm also a big fan of Okanagan Springs, Big Rock, Tiger Beer (malaysian beer), Alleykat, Guiness (Draught only) and the in-house draught at original joe's is pretty good as well...I also have a soft spot for red stripe, esp. on a hot summer's day, it goes down like delicious iced tea.

A half sack of those is pretty much enough to get you half loaded..in more ways than one. Instant beer belly.

Where abouts did you find it. I had heard it was discontined here. Is it the 8% version?

Awesome, both of those sound like they have some serious potential. Hefe during a hot day and then the stout for an after dinner desert. I'm really impressed with AlleyKat, can't believe I never heard of them until just this year. Any idea when they will be released and where you can get them from? Is Sherbrook the only one who carries the big bottle series?

Just went there and picked up a keg of Charlie Flint for the game tonight and we got the steaks marinating in some red wine.

LETS GO BOSTON!!!!!

I would have said the same thing a couple of years ago. Try putting a steak in some red wine and you will never go back. First time I tried this is when I was camping and I can't cut the habit. Only way to go. I'm pretty particular about my steak too.

Is that the place with all the international beer?

If so, that place is awesome!
