Tambellini listening to offers for 1st overall

So, if your PG...what do you possibly offer as we need a building piece at forward to go with Price in net and Subban at D.

Our 1st, a solid top line player and a top prospect or our 1st next year has to go...

We couldn't put together a package to land this pick, unless Subban was involved.

The best package we could afford to offer would be:

1st
Eller
Kostitsyn/Pouliot

And I don't think Edmonton will want to.

And nor would I.

Yeah, our teams are a pretty bad match as far as trade partners. If the Oilers are as sold on RNH as they seem to be, they see 1st line upside in him as a baseline.

You guys just wouldn't be able to put together a package that both franchises could stomach.

would this work ?

1st 2011
1st 2012
Andrei K
Weber

we all know Akost has lots of potential maybe a city like edmonton would keep him focused on hockey and Weber could turn out to be an awesome Offensive Dman but not sure if that would be enough

just would love to see our team draft in the top 3 for a change

Definitely a bad idea to try and get that pick imo. A first overall pick is going to cost way more than anyone here is willing to give up.

if we did somehow end up with that pick, I would hope we would take Larson.

I'd take Huberdeau. I've seen Nugent hopkins coutirier and landskog play as well and Huberdeau impressed me more. I think we will become a really great player and will probably be a steal in the draft.

Hope the habs Pick nathan beaulieu he looked slick in the memorial cup.

Awards:
Probably the likes of a Subban, Pacioretty and the 17th overall pick type deal.

Not a chance though.

Honestly, I'd rather pay less and go top 5-10. Still some good prospects left and less premium to pay.

For what we'd need to give up it's too risky.

Sounds like there is no number #1 player like other years. They can keep the pick. Reason they are listening to offers because it sounds like a long shot. Give up a bunch of good players for a number 1 pick that may never pan out.

A top 5 pick can't be a steal. I do agree though that Huberdeau will become something special. His vision and skill level are great!

Do not want the 1st overall....The price will be to high.

That said , if Couturier fall to 5th-6th overall ( RHN ,Larsson,Huberdeau,Landeskog,Hamliton ) , I would love to see PG make a push.

I can't imagine the Habs gaining the first overall pick. Several teams could offer far more attractive packages.

I'd rather trade for the 4th to 6th pick. 1st overall would not be worth the price..which is why Tambellini is listening to offers.

The asking price for the first pick overall is generally thru the roof. Instead I would offer up less for 4-5th overall. Draft either Couturier or Huberdeau.

1st overall for

Cammalleri
Eller
1st 2011
1st 2012

RNH + Subban + Price, 3 superstars. By the time it's a cup contending core the Gomez contract is gone. DON'T do something stupid like giving 8M to Richards this summer.

I think this is a concrete plan to win a cup, so the fans would be patient.
