Ok, what do you feel is Nashville's biggest need, a 1st line center or a 1st line wing?

Looks to me like Nashville could use a winger complimentary to Legwand.

The number 1C is sexier, but I think I'd rather have the winger. We have a ton of centers already. I think it would cost less in a trade to get a winger, too.

With that said, if we got a 1C we could just move Fish or Leggy to the wing, which I think could be a good move.

Thats why I voted center. I would think its easier for a center to play wing than a wing to play center.

Up here we have three top-6 centers, one of whom is terrifyingly awesome on the wing and the other two of which can play the wing but their game suffers for it.

It really depends on the player, honestly.

We need a sniper so if it's someone that plays center, than a 1C but if it's wing than it's a 1W. Radulov would be a great fit IMO.

1W. We have a plethora of pass-first minded two-way forwards and could use that one selfish guy that wants to shoot the puck on net. IMO he wouldn't be as much of a defensive liability at W than at C.

this... with a winger that can finish any one of Fisher, Legwand or even Oeilly would suddenly look like a #1C

As we saw with Legwand in 2006-2007

Hey guys, we can go after Drury. Looks like he will be bought out

See if you can lure Max Afinogenov away from the K.

Kevin, we can't forget that these guys are a "defense first" hockey team. Not a "skate a million miles an hour completely out of control and lose the puck while attempting to take on half the team" hockey team. I thought he had a great season for the price we paid for him in Atlanta but I would assume he would end up in the dog house in Nashville.

Exactly. Trotz would have a fit, and then he'd end up on the 4th line with no support and no minutes.

Im gonna say wing. but it truly doesnt matter. We could use a true top line scorer. Whether he is LW, RW, or C. I say we go for a wing though, CW33 needs to be used at center, we drafted him for that. But we all know he is effective on the wing so idk

Both eventually, but as of right now we have alot of depth at the center position so it's not in need of immediate attention. However we desperately need a top tier winger who can mash in the corners and put up 50+ points, or a legitimate sniper capable of 30+ goals. Then again what team doesn't want that. To put it short, we need a game-changer.

Honestly, I think what the team needs is a good two-way power forward wing. Guys like Rick Nash and Jarome Iginla come to mind. Unfortunately, those aren't exactly easy to come by.

Or Jeff Carter. Or Zach Parise (not as much of a power forward mold, but amazing two-way talent).

BTW, if the Jackets nab him from the Flyers, I am going to strongly consider driving up to Jacket-land and kidney punching every Jacket fan I see That is all.

Aww. Somebody's jealous.

Honestly, I feel fine whether we make the trade or not. If it doesn't happen, then that means better focus on our ridiculous joke of a blueline, which has been my chief worry since about the time Commodore irrevocably proved all his critics right. And if it does go through... that's JEFF FREAKIN' CARTER IN UNION BLUE.

I don't think we could get a first line LW for any combination of O'Reilly/Wilson/Franson.

Three of a kind beats King high.

If the Blue Jackets get Carter, I will have a conniption.
