Even if he can score 20 goals, it dosent mean people will be breaking down doors to get him.

What are you expecting, mid level, prospect, pick? I dont get what people think he is actually worth.

Stats dont always tell the tale.
You're underrating Andrei quite a bit. He was solid without the puck this year too.

People complain about him but he led the team in hits and if you look at his goals and points based on ice time he outproduced everybody but Plekanec, Cammalleri and Pacioretty(who only played 37 games) in terms of points per ice time.

I think he's a guy that would thrive on more ice time.

Trade him so none of us have to look at his "deer caught in the headlights" look.

Don t anybody find the timing odd. PG could have took his time with Andrei and got a couple of years at about the same money. Its not like someone was gonna offer sheet him anyway.

So that means if he doesn't exceed 45 points this year he'll go play somewhere else. I hope Martin will help him gain confidence instead of the opposite. He'll have to shine from the start if he wants to stay.

For him to score 30 he'd have to get Gionta/Cammaleri/Gomez/Plekanec ice time. Even the top scorers in the NHl would have a hard time scoring 30 with 15 minutes a night and sporadic PP time.

A good start would be to keep him away from Gomez. At his price range and the 20 somewhat goals he can bring to our poor offense i am happy to have him come back. And the price is fair no complaints from me.

Problem is, if he really does finally find his scoring touch [ie. 30 goals] there could be a good chance we lose him as we have to resign Price and Subban next season.

For just this season, I'm happy with it though.

So what you're saying is we shouldnt (try to) trade him. Good.

Why? Its quite obvious they wanted a one year contract, increases flexibility.

Of course when it's AK, stats are irrelevant unless it's a bad stat but when he scores 20 goals, It's irrelevant, that leading in hits and gwg in his team it's also irrelevant.

Deeeece.

Perfect contract. I can definitely see him stepping it up this year. I'm a huge fan of the way he plays when he is on his game. He really has all the tools to be a true complete player.

Was hoping for 2 years, but we'll see how this ends up next year. Can't complain about the money though.

It is lazier and easier to notice that AK produces under 30 goals and 6 points per season, and thus that he sucks.

Bottom line, when you put in a little bit more effort, and you correct for ice time, he's a good player.

It's refreshing discussing something not connected to the Bruins.
Fair deal for both parties, now will the real AK stand up?

I thought that from about the 60 game mark on, AK started to play like a complete player. This is a good signing imo.

Good signing PG!

AK has to be pumped up for next season, it's time to get that bacon money!

I'm definitly excited to hear that they signed him but I was hoping for a long-term deal. Oh well, I guess this way you'll get him to play at a higher level but you may very well lose him at the end of the season. Good deal, still.

The cap could go up again, players can get moved, I wouldn't worry about Subban/Price getting a raise.

There is ice time and there is ice time. Penalty kill ice time doesnt' give you many points.

But PP time does...I'd like to see a breakdown of PP ice time among our forwards.
