His buyout is cheap a 600k hit is nothing when you consider his salary is 3.8m. That's a lot of cap space. If anyone thinks he's going to be bought out, they're not going to trade for him. They'll just sign him to a UFA deal for less.

Rangers were badly depleted with forwards and had defensive depth. Wolski still has a lower cap hit than Roszival and can you imagine where they'd be after adding Erixon if they'd still have Roszival? They'd be begging someone to take him. Yeah I'd still say they won with a 600k buyout vs a 3m

I'm fully convinced Sather trade Rozy for Wolski solely because of the buyout possibility. If so, genius trade.

They still won that trade by a mile. If Wolski is bought out, they traded 5 (+?) million dollars in cap space for a 600k buyout.

Why would Phoenix care about the slightly additional cap space? Salary is more important, it's really a trade that works out well for both teams.

When I read brooks i generally look to the opposite of what he says. That said, Wolski will probably be bought out.

As a Sens fan, I would give up a 4th rounder for him, maybe a 3rd. I would need convincing.

Why does this talented player suck so freaking much? That's what I'd want to know.

He's just simply way too much of a perimeter player. he clocks out and floats when he doesn't have the puck, and when he does have it he tries to dangle multiple times, usually followed by a low percentage play.

There is a reason he has gone through three tough coaches and none of them have gotten him to get it together. He's just way too self-oriented.

Wolski is garbage. They'd be lucky to get a 7th for him.

Id like to see him in Anaheim if the price is not too much, which it wouldnt be. Maybe he clicks with Perry and Getzlaf and if not he is a UFA.

Haha--makes my Polish flag and I kinda sad, but Wolski isn't really even all too Polish. He's been in Canada since he was 3.

He's crappy, we'd have to package him along with assets for someone to take him.

Wolski + 15th for 19th and 7th. Saves some cap for the Rangers for moving down a couple. Oilers spend money on last chance with Wolski. Rangers can wait till they're on the clock, if someone they want has dropped then they can decide against it, if Rangers have a few people left on their board in similiar grouping maybe they don't mind picking the last one remaining. Just a thought. Probably a no go, but the Oilers have a history of favors going back and forth with the NYR.

I would do this, pending on who is taken by 15, though. If none of Schiefele, Miller, McNeill, or Armia are available, that is.

I would do it begrudingly, though--as the Rangers could buy him out for pennies, in comparison to what other buyouts would cost. $466K in year one, $667K in year two.

Give this man a prize.

Wolski was raised in Canada from an extremely young age, so I don't think he'll just up and bolt for Europe. Personally, I expect him to take a deal on the cheap with some team - possibly returning to Phoenix - and give it one last go as a healthy player for a full year before plying his trade abroad.

He'll never be back in Denver, but I wouldn't even trade Hunwick for Wolski...At least Hunwick tries...
