Schenn and Loki should prove that they are ready for the 2nd line spot and if both make the team the 3rd line C spot should be open if we dont resign Zues or sign another C. Let them fight over 3C and prove they can take the 2C from Stoll. Plus who is going to take important faceoffs if we dish Stoll?

Pretty sure we can pencil him onto the roster at that point.

All I know is that we need Gagne or Jokinen. Fast 1st liner, maybe 2nd line

one is injury prone and a shell of his former self, he also wouldnt waive his
NTC to come here. the other is a second line winger we have a glutt of those...

I think the only thing set going into next season are the centers. Considering both Schenn and Loktionov stuck last year, I can't see them not making the cut again, and I think Lewis locked down the fourth line center role.

The downside of both making it would that one is likely stuck on the press level, since TM and Westgarth are butt buddies.

I'm thinking the biggest signing this off season will be a guy who's already on the roster. DL still won't blow his load just for kicks, it's gotta be the "right fit".

One of them will have to play wing if they both make it. Kopitar, Stoll, and Lewis are pretty much set.

Lewis shouldn't be set imo (at center atleast). Now hear me out on this....they bring in Konopka to center the 4th line, and let Richie/Lewis run wild on his wings...keeps Westie out of the line-up and Cliffy from fighting everyone in the league.

Definitely, forgot about Stoll for a minute there. Management and coaching have said they want to keep both Loktionov and Schenn at their natural positions, though, so maybe Schenn is in line for some time with Manch to start the season.

Our centre situation is going to be very interesting behind Kopitar for the next couple years. High risk, high reward.

I think they both make the team just like last year and whatever gong show handling of them happens after that is anyone's guess.

I thought Lokti came up later in the year because of injuries and started in Manchester. Honestly, I can't remember

Schenn was only up because they knew they could send him down, but that was last year when we only needed a 4th liner.

It will be kind of silly to keep them both if they are both going to play center. One will be sent down or traded, IMO. No way will the centers be Kopi-Stoll-Schenn-Lokti.

Why would that be silly? Center depth is a good thing. Having one of them play on the 4th line isn't an issue IMO.

11-12
Penner-Kopitar-Williams
Smyth-Loktionov-Brown
Clifford-Stoll-Simmonds
Richardson-Schenn-Lewis
Parse, Westgarth

12-13
xxxxxx-Kopitar-Williams
xxxxxx-Loktionov-Brown
Clifford-Schenn-Simmonds
xxxxxx-Lewis-xxxxxx

This lineup makes the most sense IMO.

Also who do you think comes up from Manchester and plays D Muzzin? Voynov? Hickey?
