I don't understand the third option, but since I really don't know the answer to the question, my choice, it shall be.

LOL.

The third option is a joke. Because of Kesler being the second coming of Toews where everything involved Kesler being amazing.

I don't understand why everyone has debated this for like 4,000 posts over here.

BRad RichaRds..

Rangers

What other team comes close to having two consecutive letters in his name being a team in the NHL that's interested?

Call it what you want but I DO NOT believe in coincidences..

No. NYR is going nowhere for awhile. He doesn't want DAL all over. He needs the team with smart wealthy owner and gifted GM. None of that can be found in NY.

STOP THE PRESSES!

Brad Richards' middle name is Glenn. And his first name is Bradley.

Bradley Glenn Richards

You read that correctly.

Brad Richards' name includes an anagram for the word Rangers!

Destiny? You tell me. Let's look deeper.

After extracting the word Rangers from Richards' name, one of the many combinations of the remaining letters include: "Bid Shellac Dry." Confused? Bear with me.

Bradley Glenn Richards = Rangers Bid Shellac Dry

Slang for "shellac" means "b. to thrash soundly."

"Dry" means "free from tears."

There you have it.

Bradley Glenn Richards = Rangers bid to thrash soundly, free from tears.

Many here will be weeping if the Rangers don't get Richards, so our thrashing bid must be successful in order to be free from tears.

Richards to Rangers is a done deal.

TBH, I never understood why Paul Ranger wasn't a Ranger. Or why Martin St. Louis wasn't a Blue.

The disappointment of not being a N.Y. Ranger got so high for Paul Ranger that he up and left the NHL altogether!

If Satan were to ever play for the Devils, his jersey number should be 6. Satan across the back, 666 on shoulder, back, shoulder.

Dreger was on NHL Live. The Rangers have told him they won't pay Richards upwards of $7M. They want for less than $7M. Dreger speculated Toronto or LA might meet his demands.

Haha. Talk about ****blocking LA & TML.

Now if they want him they have to eat cap space north of a true cap freindly number for Richards risk/reward value.

Or, it puts a price on his head that Those 2 may walk away from knowing the agent will use that $7m as a floor.

That Sather is one bad mother.
Shut yo mouth.
But I'm talkin bout Sather.
I can dig it!

I would'nt want them to pay more than 7. That is plenty. If he says no to that whatever

Wasn't it that they weren't going to pay him more than $6 mill just a week ago?

I think most will assume that he'll sign with us, but if we get to Brad Part 5, we should have a poll that asks, "Will Richards sign for a salary that will be acceptable to the fans?" That amount seems to be $7 a year over 6 years or less based on the previous poll. I wonder if fans think that he will sign a reasonable contract or not.

I remember when he played in the AHL for the Cape Breton Oilers with Brent Pope. Unstoppable combo.

... and the Rangers saying they won't pay him more than $7m at this point in the game is a pretty clear indication that they're willing to go at least to $7.5m.

let richards walk if he wants. I am tired of big ticket free agents.

Here is an idea. Clear cap space. KEEP THE CAP SPACE, tank a few seasons and GET SOME HIGH DRAFT PICKS. Next years draft is supposed to be a good one allegedly.

I understand hank is not getting any younger, but you know what? Hank is not the rangers. The rangers have Hank on their team. Big difference.

Fans want to toss everything into the fire to get the best free agents so hank has a chance to win a cup in the meantime we bargain the future away.

There have been LOTS of good players who have not won the cup. Lets draw a plan up. Stick to the plan. Whether hank gets the cup or not.

Keep the cap space and do what with it exactly? Cap space and draft picks. The saviors of us all. And what future would we bargain away by signing Richards?

I shouldn't even ask. This kind of reaction is just sensationalism.

Tanking doesn't exist.

This team is not a lottery caliber team -- therefore, they will not be getting a high draft pick under normal circumstances. Professional sports teams don't lose intentionally.

This threads are so exhausting lol....its amazing how so much speculation can come from so little fact. Its all hearsay until it comes from brad richards himself or glen sather himself, those are the only 2 people who matter here. And the bottom line is neither are going to show their hands and weaken their position. I say 7yrs/7mill, anything over 7 yrs is a joke. As each day goes by, i feel les and less confident, and the people on here who have been penciling richards into our lineup since the day we got eliminated are so naive and need lives.
