As ONG noted, Andy's ceiling was a penthouse. Not judging Adam on a limited # of NHL games.

The comparisons to Andy are out there because like Andreychuk, Adam has a knack for getting into scoring position, has the hands to convert, has a solid build and not such a speedy skater. I don't think he's an Otto in that Joel was a physical initiator and faceoff specialist (comparable to Gaustad but a better defender).

I liken andreychuk to Phil Esposito in that he camped in the crease to score a lot of in close goals. To me, and I may be wrong, Adam is typically a little higher in the slot, or gets pushed around a little more. Gerbe's more of a down low garbage collector (with obvious speed and other talent - not trying to one-dimensionalize him). I just haven't seen enough of Adam to pigeonhole him.

There is a difference I have noticed. Granted its based on limited viewing of Adam. As you pointed out, Andreychuk usually set up shop in front of the net waiting on the puck. Whereas I've noticed Adam is more likely to carry the puck to the front of the net looking to set up his shot.

But as Chain pointed out, there are some basic similarities. Neither of them are the fleetest of foot, both have quick hands and both are good around the net in traffic.
