While I certainly wouldnt want to rain on the parade of anyone who likes to tailgate and wants to do it, to me its kinda like camping(and I HATE camping).
I dont see the point in going to the trouble of bringing raw food and all the stuff necessary to cook it, sitting outdoors and then having to turn around and clean it all up before the game. I could understand if the BA was out in a remote location and there wasnt any good grub nearby, but in Nashville you can sit at a table, indoors in bad weather, or outdoors in good weather, and have very delicious food and all the beverages you can drink brough to you, and you have a place to go to the bathroom, and you dont have to clean it up and pack it all away before the game...
and you can do all this within as little as 100 feet from the arena...
I'm with you on that. It makes more sense in Raleigh and even Atlanta, but there are so many good restaurants by Bridgestone. Not to mention, inside the arena there FUNNEL CAKES. That's one of my favorite things about the arena lol I WILL have one this year. I am usually too full from eating dinner.

I'm with you guys, too, but I do think tailgating would be cool if it were a once-a-season tradition for the opening night game or something.
I have a funny story about the arena funnel cakes. I took a girl with me to the opening night game last season. She had said something about wanting to get drunk that night, and I had just gotten a pretty large sum of money so I obliged. About $60 in alcohol later she was eating a funnel cake, and trying to get me to join her. I had a little bit of it, but I warned her all of the grease and sugar probably wouldn't be a good mix with the beer and liquor. She ignored me. She had another couple of drinks before we were ready to leave. Needless to say, I had to pull over twice on our drive home (I didn't drink anything after the 10 minute mark of the second) so she could... well... you know. It's funny now, but I was in a rental car so not so much then. I have a weak stomach when it comes to that kind of stuff, and I really didn't want to have to clean it up haha
Thank you for taking the time to write.* We are working with the NHL on bringing telecasts for another NHL team into the market and are confident that that will happen for the 2011-12 NHL season.* We do not yet know which team or teams that will be.
On the one hand, I'd love it if Fox Sports would continue to cover hockey in the southeast. On the other hand, I'm afraid that they'll just preempt the games for Water Polo Championships and dog shows.

Or delay the broadcast for a college basketball game that doesn't even include a Georgia college team.
I'm going to keep Center Ice this coming season and then see how I feel about it.
I must admit that I've hardly watched any of the NHL Finals this year. Whenever I watch I just feel incredibly bitter.
When Katrina hit, I was displaced to Florida. When A$G hit, I was displaced to Nashville. You guys have always been my favorite team in the west anyways.
Not sure that I'll follow the NHL as much (going to stick with the SPHL though!) but if/when I do, I'll likely be pulling up a chair in Nashville. Also, is the goal song going to change next year? Because I didn't really like/love/want more of the old one...

I doubt it. That's been the goal song as long as I can remember. Like everything else in this organization, I imagine it will be very slow to change.
I can't say I like it, much less love it...but it IS the goal song, so I oblige and sing along.
sidenote: interestingly enough, even though Nashville is heavily associated with Country, and Country artists tend to drop by for the anthem or a special guest appearance on the stage...I've always figured the crowd to be much more of a rock & roll crowd. Not that we don't identify with our roots...but country definitely isn't the only thing blasting through the speakers at The Stone.

seems to me like nashville is becoming much more associated with music in general rather than just country music
