ah, so it's not the fault of the people who stopped supporting the team at all, right?

that's my point and what i keep bringing up to you whiners. you didn't support the team you had so it left. that is what happens.

but hey, keep throwing out those "ifs" we all know that the 1994 expos would have definitely won the world series right? there's no way that they make the playoffs and **** the bed, right? of course not! none of us know what it's like!

****ing whiners. your team had a great year cancelled out by the strike. a lot of teams lost great seasons, a lot of players lost career years. montreal is the only city that lost its entire fanbase and team because of it. lay that on the players for striking but also lay it at the feet of the fans who refused to show up to the games afterwards because the team wasn't good. newsflash, guy: you support your team through thick and thin. supporting the team isn't having paid attendance in the four digits.

it's a two way street. you and the other montreal expos "fans" say it was ownership and the lack of a brand new park that you didn't deserve. ownership and rational thinking says that the alleged fans of the franchise didn't support the team and as such they moved away.

the same people saying Montreal should have been kept around at all costs are probably the same people riding thL's ass for saving the Coyotes.

Thank God I don't have MLB Network and can't watch this. It would have been painful.

Funny thing is the Expos were better than the Nationals. I cannot look at it as the same franchise even the first year when a lot of players were the same and the franchise is the same.

I saw a 3min clip preview on MLB Network website and it looked awesome. Matt Vasgersian is a great narrator. Hopefully a torrent is up soon.

Thanks for the links. Sad tale. Always liked the Expos but hated watching them on TV from the Big O. Such a hollow place. I had forgotten what a great developer of talent they were. Very shrewd trades too. The early Jays followed their lead and that's how they became contenders just 7 years after they were born.

I thought they would focus more on the 1994 season itself. To not have a single mention of the incredible Braves series in late June was ridiculous.

Also, how could they not mention the Mark Langston trade in 1989?

I guess it's because they decided to focus it a little more on how the '94 season petty much spelled the and of the franchise. But, yeah it would have been nice to have a mention of that awesome series. We swept that series didn't we?

I'm not sure how to do it unfortunately, and as I mentioned earlier, it's not my Facebook.

So, if anybody can do it, please try.

Thanks.

Since this thread's about the '94 team, I thought I'd post this video I found.

Heads up to my fellow french Canadians: RDS has translated it and added in some commentary in french from various guests.

They just played it during the Tigers-Rangers rain delay.
