To Philly:
Tyler Bozak
Luca Caputi
Koriban Holzer
Jeremy D'Amigo
Toronto 2011 2nd round pick
Flyers clear Briere's cap hit. They can keep Carter and add Bryz. In return they get a much less talented Tyler Bozak. He has potential and could reach it on Philly. Caputi provides a big bodied NHL ready bottom 6 presence. D'Amigo, Holzer and the pick are nice but not great assets to add to one of the leagues worst prospect pools.
Toronto gets a top line center for the next three seasons while Colborne/Kadri develop. Not an ideal option but cheaper and shorter term than others.
Yes it's quanity over quality. Philly's cap situation puts them at a weakness

Interesting. I would consider a trade like that only because of the massive amount of salary it would free up. But I only really know Bozak, D'amigo and the second rounder, would have to look and see what exactly the other two assets are.

I'd be willing to bet that Philly could get 15 offers for Briere that are better than this one. You didn't offer a single asset that is likely to end up playing on an NHL team's top 6 forwards or top 4 D...and you asked for Philly's most dangerous offensive player in return. It's just a horrible offer on so many levels.

Philly does this in a second. Nothing builds a cup contender like middling prospects, 2nd round picks, and cap space.
I'll say what I said in the last Briere for scraps thread: Why would a team who's trying to win now trade away one of the top playoff performers of the past several years for cap space?
Also, good luck getting him to waive his NMC to go from Philly to Toronto.

wouldn't their most dangerous guy be the guy that lead the team in either goals or points which briere did neither of
