This weekend I read through FC's NHL Entry Draft Guide. Loved it! Some real good stuff on there that some of the major services didn't have.

On Grimaldi, I was interested to see that he it's his Faith first and foremost before hockey.

i heard that he has tried to convert a lot of his fellow players (and prides himself on having succeeded). that sort of thing can be disruptive in a locker room - especially in new york. what you believe in is fine in your own home - don't bring it to the rink.

ah, he's a religious nut then? maybe he has the power of God in his skates and stick. how could you not draft God-given talent?

Grimaldi isn't going to hang anybody or crucify them if they don't convert. He isn't trying to convert them like a preacher, he probably just talks about it sparingly and does subtle things.

Sparingly? Man, just look at his twitter (http://twitter.com/#!/rgrimaldi23) and this interview;

A bit of a pest--a little bit like Avery--though not as good a skater or player--keeping in mind it was a 12--14 team league when he played for us. For his size he was a tough little bugger but definitely 4th line material.

In any case I'm hoping for either for McNeill or Schiefele--edge to McNeill. In the mock draft I did today--Colorado takes Bartschi at 11--seeing him as a complementary player for either Duchene, Stastny and Carolina goes for Khokhlachev hoping he might be this year's Skinner or at least Burmistrov--so both McNeill and Schiefele are around at 15 when the Rangers pick. After first taking Schiefele--on second thought I take McNeill--just that extra grit.
What do you see his upside being? Would you agree with this Skill-set comparison: cross between Brooks Laich and Shawn Horcoff

Either Marks, Armia, Sven, Puempel or Zibanejad would make me happy if we stay put at #15. That's it

Reasonable projectable upside--maybe a Mike Fisher or a Scott Hartnell type.

Nothing against Rocco's beliefs, but whoever said that it can be disruptive is absolutely right. Not only to his teammates and others around him, but on himself. Can you think of a worse city as far as temptations to sin go than New York?

On the other hand, a warrior of god such as himself might actually up his game against the devils

Oh boy. I dislike fundamentalism in any form - Muslim, Christian, Zoroastrianism, whatever. You are welcome to your beliefs, but you are not welcome to impose them on me (or anyone else). I was already WAAAAY down on him due to his size, but that cinches it - a big no to Grimaldi.

Yeah, Grimaldi can believe whatever he wants, but I too fear that it might be a little over the top.

Just saying that it's really common in the NFL, and they aren't even as down your throat as that.

Scheifele is starting to grow on me. Wouldn't mind him but would prefer Armia/McNeil and possibly Puempel.

Sauer's fairly religious from what I've read and of course Pettite and Posada used to read bible together in the late 90s for the Yankees.

I've known many religious people in my life whether they are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc. who are fine with swearing and open to everyone else.

It's not that big of a deal, more of the player but if he is preaching.......stick him next to Pashnin at Prospect Camp

Is it confirmed that Grimaldi tries to preach to his teammates and stuff? If it is that's strange.

I'd rather have Armia or Puempel at 15, though.
