Lindros is in Toronto?

Hey, guys. I know that Lindros to Toronto was imminent, but I still missed it. When did it happen? Anyone knows what role he'd play in Toronto? IMO, he'd be 3rd line center, playing the same role Holik played for NJD, except not as physical. Anyways, good luck to #88. If it wasn't for the damned concussions, I wish he'd still be here.

I'm pretty sure he was brought in to keep Jason Allison company in the skybox during games.

Oooh, nice. That's a good one. Actually, I think Toronto will be one of the few bad surprises. They've lost the two veteran grinders to Florida (Roberts and his homeboy - escapes my mind right now), lost the finesse scorer in Mogilny, lost Leetch, Francis retired... I'm not very familiar with the Maple Leafs organization, so I wouldn't know who'd be ready to fill these holes.

I couldn't even give a prediction about how individual teams might fare. We know better than anyone the potential for disaster when you hang your hopes on cripppled players though. I can't imagine any team having their top 2 centers go down and still finding a lot of success.

Quinn said Sundin, Allison, and Lindros will all be playing Center. So Lindros will be the 2nd or 3rd line Center.

How did I forget about Sundin? Precisely why I'm not making any predictions.

Do you have any idea if Stajan is going to make the team? And what role will he play? By the way, when did they acquire Jeff O'Neill? And where's Owen Nolan? As a Ranger fan, I'm happy that Corson and Roberts are gone. Boy, that was a nasty team to play against.

Jeff O'Neal was acquired on draft day for a draft pick in '06. ( conditional )

Owen Nolan had surgery on his leg so he'll probably be out for the season.

Stajan will be on the Maple Leaf squad come the season starts. There is also speculation that Steen will start for the Maple Leafs too. Stajan will probably play on the RW.

I could see something like.

Steen - Sundin - O'Neal
Tucker - Allison - Stajan
Ponikarovsky - Lindros - Antropov
Kilger - Kukemberg - Domi

Its a competitive lineup if everything falls into place. Roberts was my favorite Leaf and we're all sad he left. I wish him luck in Florida. He was THE LEAFS. But we've added three players for the three players we lost. Now all we hope is everything goes well. And the good thing is...all these players were signed to very decent contracts. Next year, Toronto has lots of money to spend on Free Agents. Im just looking forward to the season. Go Leafs!

What happens if Allison and Lindros are out? Antropov slides into the natural position of C? Who is Kukemberg?

Good luck to Lindros in Toronto. He should invest in a real thick helmet liner.
