I'd have no problem what so ever with the Oilers overpaying him on a two year deal.

I doubt he would sign though.

Beware the two year or longer deal. Big physical guys dont last that long, plus he is always getting injured. Personally since the Yotes are going to retool, might as well give someone his minutes.

He's all yours Detroit, though if Holmstrom keeps high sticking him, its gonna be a long year for him ( I kid i kid)

Detroit for 1.5 mill is my best guess

He was front row at the UFC in Van last night. Canucks might try and sneak Jovo in a Ballard Jersey, hehe.

I would like the wings to sign him, 2.5 per year for two. Maybe that's a little low but we shall see.

Would love for EDM to sign him, but he's probably going to DET.

Would love him on the Isles. Would help out the PP plus help us reach the floor (imagine a 2-3 year deal for 4-5 mil per).

Otherwise he's going to Florida (liked it there) or Detroit (a solid run at the cup, replaces Rafalski)

Tallon will go hard after 2 puck moving defenseman in Free Agency. Have a feeling Jovo will again sport a Panthers jersey. Also think Tallon has his sights on Ehrhoff!

Pretty sure he refused to waive his clause to be traded to the Isles a few years back when Maloney asked him to, so I would assume he won't sign there as a FA.

I agree in general, but I don't think your numbers are quite right. 1 year for 3.5 or 3 years for 3.6? 1 year at 3.5M, 2 years at 2.5M or 3 years at 2M seem like they make more sense. He gets guaranteed contracts and the team is compensated for the 35+ contract risk.

I don't think the Canucks will go after Jovo. If Salo wants to return, I think he's brought back at a 2-2.5M cap hit, and if not, there's other options with a higher priority than Jovo.

Jovo would be a logical replacement on the Canucks if Bieksa walked, in my opinion. I liked Jovo and would welcome him back.

Bieksa isn't walking. Ehrhoff might, but the Canucks will bring Bieksa back.
