Bad fit. They want to run a more up tempo scheme and you don't hire Pred assistants with that mindset. Wild would be more likely option for him.

I'm not sad that he isn't going to be in Dallass. I like him too much to want him sent there.

As for the Wild...I think he would be a good fit...but unfortunately that team is owned by Craig Leopold. I can't say I would wish that on him either.

We aren't going to get a scorer you can bet on that. We just bring back what we have. That's what Trotz wants

Is this the first time in the history of the Preds organization that they have a star who can muscle management, if only a little?

I dont think Weber is arrogant enough to throw out demands like "get us a sniper or Im history"

I do think Weber wants to see that we are committed to winning and I think the Fisher trade was a good step in that direction.

Can is the key word. if Webs wanted to, he could try and mess with management, but I don't think he wants to. Doesn't seem that egoistic to me. But he certainly wants to win.

I don't think Weber would need to go nuclear and mess things up. He could easily sign with a tacit understanding that the Preds will boost payroll. He's really the first to be able to influence in this manner, in my opinion.

I agree. I don't think Weber's statements implied that he would be using his RFA status as leverage to get what he wants...he just wants management to know his goal is to win the cup, not be a perennial second round team. It was obvious what we were lacking in the Canuck's series...he just put it into words.

Well, that kinda fits the direction they are headed.
