Where does he stand coming into camp this year?

Will he go pro(AHL?) or back to College...

I know he's a skilled big man, who skates decently for his size, but just can't seem to stay healthy...

Any and all analysis and input is appreciated...

I think hes lost most his hype due to all his knee injuries. I dont expect him to make an impact this or next year, i could see him traded. All my opinion though

You don't sell low unless you have to, so I don't see Poile looking to shop Budish. As for college, he's returning to Minnesota next season and only after the season will it be determined if he will return as a senior.

Reports are that he's recovering very well from his most recent surgery and is no longer riding the scooters on campus, but we'll see how his hands and skating are at the end of the month at prospect camp.

Budish should and will go back to Minnesota. I expect him to finish his degree. If he picks up another knee injury, he may very well need it sooner than later...

Isn't he eligible for a medical Redshirt year? He'll need it. I'm not ready to place the bust label on him yet but not playing is ruining his development

Yep...you can't miss that much time and not be affected. He was a project before all of the injuries...now he's a long-shot. If he can stay healthy, he may be NHL calibur in 3-5 years...after being given significant time to develop his game in the AHL...but I'd say the odds are tremendously stacked against him at this point.
