Cole and Torres will raises to put them out of Flyers price range.

How about Jarko Rutuu for 1M or less? Real pain to play against, decent d.

Jarkko is scum, I'd enjoy having him on my favorite team as much as I'd enjoy Matt Cooke on my team. They're both very good players all over the ice, but I'd hate to deal with the additional nonsense they bring to their teams...

Not bad, but that top 9 is way too small and frail. Raymond and Gagner aren't big guys and don't really throw their weight around. They would add a boatload of speed, but that top 9 would be bruised and battered by the playoffs. That's why I'd like to see LaRose and Upshall back, little guys who are fast, but throw their weight around too, plus Torres too.

I am OVER budget on purpose. I would love to have Shelley of this team and replace him with Fiddler. Here is what it looks like (take Fiddler out and then Shelley stays)

Build a hard working line in Richards.
Keep Chemistry with Roo and Hobbit.
HUGE 4th line, esp the wings!
Upgrade from O'D

Bryz at what I hope his cap will be.

Rupp's REALLY close to re-signing with PIT from what I hear, and I'm fairly confident he'll get more than that. Just saying, not criticizing

That's not a bad team but i dont think Montador takes 1.1 million after having a pretty good year with Buffalo hes looking at least what he made this year plus more probably(this year i think he made 1.55) If we do trade Carle i would love the Flyers to go after Hejda or Montador in that order. Also why no Nodl and Powe?

Most of you guys aren't leaving nearly enough cap space for injuries / callups. Even with a full 22 man roster a team needs close to a full 1 million in cap space heading into a season.

This is my final roster WITHOUT trading Carter or Richards. I am going to come up with one in the coming days where one of them is traded and decided which one I think is better. I can tell you one thing, the depth of this lineup concerns me quite a bit, but trading Carle, Versteeg, and Bob (after bringing in Bryzgalov at 5+ million) can only do so much to free up cap space considering it creates holes that need filled.

James Van Riemsdyk ($1.654m) / Claude Giroux ($3.750m) / Daniel Briere ($6.500m)

You stole my forwards from the other thread lol. You're a thief I tell ya

That's not enough cap room for a 7th D and 13th forward. We'd have to skimp on the UFA D man and pay Drury less than that, if he'd take it. Other than that I like it.

I don't want Boosh on this team anymore... I know he has been a great team player, all that jazz... but his time as I see it is done.

Bob to the Minors for ONE YEAR so he gets all the starts he wants/needs - Cap will go up 2012-13
Carle traded for picks
Emery to a city he liked as the backup - if this fails you bring up Backlund
I wish we could buy out Shelley - it would make this a lot easier....
Buy out Leights and Walker.
Fiddler can move up the lineup when needed - great PK'er as well
Mara with exp and a shot from the point.

Buying out Leighton and Walker would leave close to a million bucks of dead cap space

CAPGEEK.COM TOTALS (follow @capgeek on Twitter)
(these totals are compiled without the bonus cushion)
SALARY CAP: $62,400,000; CAP PAYROLL: $62,061,655; BONUSES: $1,700,000
CAP SPACE (22-man roster): $338,345

I think O'Donnell is good guy to bring back if he'd take a slight pay cut. He's a tough player, which we need, and a solid bottom pairing guy. He's also good at knowing when to fight.

I think it'd be friggin awesome to get Drury at a low price for our third line. I know he isn't a 60 plus point forward anymore, but he is a perfect 3rd line center. He would also allow Richards to move back into the top 6. Also, Nodl Drury Talbot would be a pretty solid checking line.

Wellwood and Powe gives us a fast 4th line, and Sestito adds size and an enforcer if we think we're going to need it.

If Drury isn't bought out or won't sign for that cheap I think Fiddler would be a cheaper alternative.

I would like to construct a bottom 6 like the Canucks have. All they do for them is play the body and bang around. Anybody have any objections to having Raffi Torres on the radar?

The bolded ones I covet more than others and NO obviously not all of these should recieve 2.4M. Bear in mind that I used this figure as a maximum only.

Finally, trade Carle for a late first rounder.

You're right. Holmgren will probably try to sign him for less money. I'm also sure that OD will push for something close to 1.3M. I would bet they will settle for something like 1.2M
