That remark about Thomas was taken out of context. Responsible journalists carry the whole statement rather than hanging someone out that way. He wasn't really dissing Thomas.
I find a lot of the media to be a real bunch of **** disturbers with a lot of their articles, at least the Canadian media. Some real crap written.

That said, I have never been impressed with Luongo because he just has not put it together. It will be pretty tough for him, more so than his teammates, if they do not pull out the win in
Game 7.

Think Raymond has a broken back?

Dreger tweeted that the injury is "bad"

Does anyone have a video of the injury? I missed tonight's game. If not, can anyone tell me some sort of summary of that hit? Like was it dirty or clean? If it was dirty, was there a penalty? Etc..

Agreed. Canucks are night and day when it comes to games on home ice vs. Boston ice.

I hate both these teams. All those dissing Luongo should take a look at his stats . I still can't believe these teams are in the cup final .I'm bitter , I wanted the Sharks to win , but they had Luongo steal a couple of games , injury to Thornton & a killer series with Detroit.
Wish Chic & MTl would have eliminated these two teams. PS Who would love to have Bieksa on our D ? Great Ranger fit .

More playoff games. More revenue. Less escrow. Higher upper limit.

The NHL playoffs are over before the NBA playoffs. The NHL season started 3 weeks before the NBA season. The NHL season is a long season. June 15. The draft is next Friday June 24. Short turn around. I can't remember a shorter time between the last game of the finals and the draft. The Rangers won on 6/14/94 and the draft was two weeks later in 6/28/94 in Hartford. Except for the 1995 lockout year which had a short turn around, there has never been just a 9 day gap between the end of the 10-11 season and the draft which is essentially the start of the next season. Qualifying offers are due two days after the draft, etc.

The NHL is having a BOG meeting next Tuesday here to confirm the Thrashers sale to Winnipeg. Then they fly to Minnesota for the draft.

I can't agree with this. The Bruin's have played spectacular defense in front of him and two of their losses this series have been because of his aggressive style.

Maybe just because of how bad Luongo's been in losses, but that's it.

Marchand popping Sedin in the face and Sedin just sitting there and taking it kind of summed up this whole series to me.

I think the NHL should make all diving penalties double minors, at least if the refs still call both players the right team should get a powerplay. How does everyone feel about double minors for diving and if the same player gets called more than once for diving in the same game he should get a 10 minute misconduct......it would end all of the diving crap.

It was a very innocent-looking, awkward hit. First shift of the game, Boychuk was in on the forecheck and looked like he was simply finishing his check. Raymond was in a very awkward position, he ended up going into the boards leading with his tailbone while he was kinda hunched over. The announcers barely even noticed it and it drew a "Liar" chant from the crowd. So overall, looked clean, was more of a freak accident that happened because of awkward positioning.

Classless play by Boychuk IMO. it was one thing to have him locked up like that, that was fine. But that extra shove at the end was totally unnecessary and bush league if you ask me and probably what caused the fracture. But it's the Bruins, I expect no class from them to begin with.

Raymond probably has a burst fracture or two in his thoracic or lumbar vertebrae. One's back is not designed to absorb a force like that. He's definitely done for game seven. It'll be a tough recovery and an injury that will screw him up long term (after hockey). I'll be rooting for the kid. Get well soon.

This.

The Sedins are honestly some of the biggest wussies Ive seen in the NHL. Every push sends them flailing to the ice.

Well if Thomas is about to make the most saves in one playoff season, that defense gave up a good amount of shots..

Yeah... Really disheartening. One of them just needs to snap and go ballistic, because they're just getting pushed around and tormented.
