Name the big splash Sather has made. Casual sports fans know who Carmelo Anthony is. They do not know who Marian Gaborik is.

Bure, Lindros, Jagr...

Hard to get much bigger than those names in the world of the NHL

Horak and Howse are both Calgary property, who knows maybe they develop chemistry and become Krejci/Versteeg.

Yeah but unlike Gabby these guys were at the end of their careers. I mean did Bure even play a game in New York with two good legs? Lindros had how many concussions before he got here?

Gabby had a down year so of course no one is talking much about him. If he comes back with 40 again i'm sure we will be hearing his name more.

hockey in general isnt really known by the "casual sports fan", unless its talked about on espn like crysby and kovilchuks contract are.

Some highlight goals from Tim Erixon in this video. :-)

The Golden Generation from Skellefteć - Adam Larsson (Devils), Tim Erixon (Rangers, son of ex Rangers Jan Erixon) and David Rundblad (Senators)

Just watched this.

The ability for Erixon to get off quick wristers and slappers to the net (even if its on one foot, or off-balanced) is a HUGE positive for the Rangers even strength and on the PP (if hes used there).

Replacing Gilroys weak shot with his ability to pull the trigger quickly and ONE TIME A SHOT (yes he actually can one time a shot! holy ****!) will be a very welcome addition to the Rangers defense.

Thank God. Great trade from the looks of these videos. This Erixon kid has some talent. With the way McDonaugh plays, Sauer rock-solid. Staal and G-man doing their thing- Erixon will fit in nicely. If MDZ gets his act together, the defense just got a lot better offensively.

You're right, because everyone would want them to reminisce about their time in the SEL together when they play their bitter rivals.

It's a joke, grow a pair.
