Danglers?

We haven't had a real dangler since Zherdev (I'm not suggesting bringing him back). While it's not necessary to have a dangler to win, I think having one would be awesome. Who are some danglers we could realistically acquire that would also add some offense?

I swear, this has nothing to do with NHL 12!

Alexander Ovechkin!

Uhhh, realistically I would probably say if they were interested then probably Filatov or Radulov.

We could also realistically get Semin but I don't want him.

Hemsky is one of the best danglers in the game. Behind Datsyuk

You said the no no name. As long as you don't say the HJ name, we'll be free of curses.

To you he may be a no-no...God knows why. Only reason I can come up with is his injuries. To me, he's my favorite player in the league right behind Datsyuk. I love the guys who have a great deal of finesse and dangle in their game. That's why AK27 is/was my favorite Ranger.

Thanks for those who don't have sick humor and mentioned who we took as our #17 Pick in 2007...

Speaking of NHL 12... They need to bring back the Dangler player-type.

One of my favorites too. I remember he was one of the future league superstars after his good playoff run in 2006, it's unfortunate how injuries have destroyed his career.

For the record, I loathe the word "dangle".

I just want someone who can score. If the Rangers could add two offensive players who score 70+ points, whether through the farm or any other way, without killing their cap space, they will be real Cup contenders.

* Instead of two 70 point forwards, if the Rangers got one 70 point forward and one 50 point defenseman, that too should be enough.

Is "deke master" better? Cause that's the only other name I could think of calling it.

Exactly. I still think he has Marian (NOT Marcel) Hossa potential under the right circumstances. Strong on the puck on top notch hands, and a good hard shot that he can roof in close, but he's not a pure sniper exactly just like Hossa isn't truly either. I think him and Gaborik/Richards could go well down the stretch if Jurco develops (and he's got a reputation as a good worker), that is if that's possible to make happen for a first line.

I don't think a dangler is "required" but they give your team a different look and can help beat traps just on sheer skill sometimes. It's something this team doesn't really have right now and it could only help the team find more ways to score.

you don't really see it anywhere outside of the shootout but Wolski has some insane stickhandling skills. I just don't think he is good at high speed to be useful enough in most game situations.

It was a result of his style. He drove to the net a lot with his finesse moves. He wasn't a perimeter guy. He got his nose dirty often..being a smaller guy he's gotten banged up a lot b/c of his style.

Depends on how pure a dangler he is. There's scorers that can dangle, and there's danglers that can't score. I don't want one who gets open constantly and couldn't hit a 10x8 net. I'd be interested in more of a complete package though.
