I like Stortini, so I'd welcome him.

McNaught destroyed his ankle this past season and missed the entire year. Never a good skater, I think that there's real concern as to whether McNaught is mobile enough to play even AHL level hockey.

Posts like this are why people think you have an unhealthy obsession with McI.

Seriously though, Rupp is a terrible comparison. Him and Antropov were not reaches, they were practically off the board. A better one would be Malhotra, a guy who was a riser because of his freak physical abilities and one great stretch at the memorial cup.

What did you think of Manny when he was drafted?

Unhealthy is your perspective, its absolutely on topic and totally relevant to me.

Rupp is not a terrible comparison IMO. Size size and more size and oh look he has some skill that's rare for a big man. Yeah, have not heard that tune before.....

I liked Manny, but not for our pick. I wanted Mark Bell

I'd have no problem bringing Konopka in.

Adresses the tough guy other then Prust need, but Zenon is a heck of a faceoff guy too which is something we could use for sure.

i could live with rupp but i'd really rather not see him in ranger blue.

absolutely no to stortini. there's a reason he wasn't claimed when he was waived. his nhl days are over.

out of these 3 guys, i'd love konopka but i really don't see it happening and on second thought, he's a penalty taking machine. whether he sticks up for his teammates or not, i can't see that meshing with torts.

Hmmm... I wasn't aware that Aaron Voros was no longer in the league.

Why trade Edmonton for Stortini when you can sign Macintyre, a UFA for nothing whom they kept in favor of Stortini during the season? Makes a whole heck of a lot of sense to sign the now UFA Macintyre to me.
