This is a horrid list without Timo Jutila.

Virta is a shoe-in.

Hopefully Mark Ferner will get some recognition as well.

Only two Sabres have ever won the (THE) President's trophy and thats Jutila and Virta.. other winners, fyi, Kurri, Selanne, Koivu, Tikkanen, Peltonen.

I'm disapoint a little bit for not seing Morris Titanic or Sergei Petrenko

Stephane Beauregard deserve to be in just because he was traded for Hasek

To be honest, i don't know all peoples that are actually on the Sabres hall of fame but i hope Phil Housley is already in because he is not on that list.

If i can vote, Hasek, RJ, Hawerchuk and Rob Ray would be my picks

Phil Housley was inducted in 2007.

Heres the link to the list of Hall Of Famers - http://www.sabresalumni.com/history/halloffame.php

Sabrefan65 - opps I thought Hasek was completely retired - forgot about him perhaps returning to the KHL.
Ok my choices will then be Bowman and Peca with Hawerchuck as a third if they decide to induct three this coming year.

LS...

Paul Wieland and Jack Bowman would be my picks this year. Wieland was the Sabres Public Relations and Communications Director for 25 years from their inception. He served as their practice goalie on occasion. I think he even produced the television broadcasts. He deserves a lot of credit for creating a hockey culture in WNY. A rich source of Sabres history is preserved in his book Then Perreault Said to Rico: The Best Buffalo Sabres Stories Ever Told. It's disappointing that WGR Neidermayered his name.

Jack Bowman was a scout with the Sabres from 1980 until his death in 1998. In the latter years he was director of scouting. He had a lot to do with the organization's drafting success. I think he's more deserving of a spot in the Sabres HOF than his famous brother, and I think Scottie would say the same thing.

Hasek, RJ, and Ray are locks, but I don't think they should be inducted until they retire.

If Rip Simonick didn't have to wait til retirement, then neither should RJ.

Rob Ray is retired.

And Hasek shouldn't wait another day

If Hasek is inducted, they should retire his #39 while they're at it.

...which was already confirmed by Ted Black as on their agenda, possibly as soon as next season. Given that Hasek lives in Europe, it would make sense to have his induction coincide with his jersey retirement so he can attend both.
