Well it's doable. It's not the Preds in the Cup finals game 7. She knows better than that. Like mentioned earlier, it's time to set up the DVR and set it to record extra long. Maybe the tv's in the club level, where we are sitting, will have the game on?

You could pull a "The Merv Griffin Show." She sleeps through Cirque, you see Game Seven, and you share a delicious dinner. Where you're gonna find an 18 pound turkey on short notice, I have no idea, but the wine should be easy enough.

I'm certainly watching the game, but if Vancouver wins I am not sitting through the Cup presentation. Even thinking about Kesler, Luongo, Burrows, and Hamhuis lifting the cup makes me want to eat the souls of small kittens.

Vancouver is bringing enough turkey and whine [sic] for everyone (by the way, The Merv Griffin Show? You're really 63 years old aren't you? )

I agree with gopreds. If Vancouver wins I won't be watching much of the Cup presentation. I'll watch Bettman hand it to Sedin, but only because I want to see if that weakling can actually lift it. After that the season is over, and I move my focus to the draft.

I've watched every game in the SCF thus far, ain't going to miss this one that's for sure. I will be happy to see either team win it, but for different reasons.

Hope it's a great, tight, exciting game.

I'm talking about "The Merv Griffin Show," not the actual Merv Griffin Show, you knucklehead.

Jerry and George treat Jerry's girlfriend to a dinner of turkey and wine, followed by a slow movie; they hope that the wine and the tryptophan in the turkey will cause her to fall asleep, and she soon dozes off. Once she is asleep, Jerry and George happily play with the toys. Later, Elaine joins in to play with an Easy-Bake Oven.
Admittedly, I did forget the move afterward.

Exactly. God I hate the Canucks. Them losing like this in the finals... best remedy available right now for a pissed Preds fan.

Just knowing they have Lou signed for 11 more years makes me warm and fuzzy inside. His purgatory is our bliss!!

I'm sure JP Dumont is delighted about that.

Happy for Rich Peverley...and Shane Hnidy, but I didn't even know he was on the Bruins til tonight. I didn't see him with the Cup but read he made sure everyone knew...

A bit disappointing in the sense that there was no consistency in either team away from their home ice (until the very end).

The Bruins showed after the Horton injury that they were the better TEAM

They really were. VAN quit attempting anything but point shots on the power play, and the BOS defense is custom made for Tim Thomas. He was never screened, they rarely allowed scoring chances the opportunity to fully develop (i.e. no extra passes that make Thomas look so bad), and when he did overplay, they always had someone standing in the crease to block the shot.

On a lot of defenses, Thomas gives up a bunch of headscratcher goals (though he would probably still have good numbers), but he's almost unbeatable behind that BOS D because you typically get one shot from 15-20 feet out, he's playing aggressively so you have little angle, there's no one screening him, no rebounds, and no one to pass to.

I do think the return of the obstruction hockey thanks to pre-lockout officiaiting helped BOS immensely, but they consistently outclassed VAN in their four wins and were only slightly inferior/equal in their three losses. Although I think the piling on Luongo shows how little most hockey fans understand NHL goaltending and how goals are scored/not scored.

Why boo Bettman now? I thought Canada hated him because he was anti-canada, he stole their teams and he would never let them have another. Except they now have a 7th team again... so conspiracy blown, Bettman =/= the ultimate evil.

And I know it's not the entire city of Vancouver, or every Canucks fans. But the bad eggs did nothing last night except to further the notion of classless Canucks fans.

All in all, it makes me happy!

They're saying that Bettman was "Clearly gleeful" to give Boston the cup.

I feel no sympathy for Vancouver fans, at least not most of them. They've shown themselves to be morons throughout this entire season, and I haven't enjoyed watching a team lose this much, maybe ever. From the fans to the players, there's nothing likeable about the organization.

I don't even like the Bruins, but I happily celebrated the loss, last night.

I'd be gleeful if I were a sports league commissioner about to hand over the dream of a lifetime to a team of men who exhausted themselves over 10 months for the right to call themselves champions.

And i'm with you, not a bruins fan at all, but the Canucks are one of, if not the most hated team for me along with the Sharks (I think I like the Wings more than those two). and even though I know it won't happen, the only thing sweeter now would be if the BoG voted down the Thrashers sale/move. I think Canada would implode!

If this hockey thing doesn't work out the Sedin twins could be magicians in Vegas with the disappearing act they just performed.

Haha the funny thing is I thought to myself, "maybe he's talking about that episode of Seinfeld... naa, are you kidding? Have you seen some of the music he uses in GDTs? He probably watches old episodes of The Merv Griffin Show" btw I do enjoy a lot of the music you use. My grandparents helped raise me right when it comes to music
