I'm gonna join in on the Beltran love. The NLCS gave him an unfair reputation as being unclutch, when in fact he has been performed even better when the stakes are higher. Look at these stats in "high-leverage" situations (as determined by the Win Probability stat) through the years:

2005: .316/.362/.571
2006: .313/.449/.600
2007: .280/.347/.522
2008: .313/.404/.550
2009: .325/.415/.500
2010: .260/.319/.476

So only in 2010 did he perform better in low-leverage situations than high ones, and with just half a season played with bad health, one could argue that it's not a big enough sample size to be relevant.

Additionally, here's a great list of his top 10 clutch moments:

When I think of Beltran, I think of the extra innings game at Shea against the Phillies when he hit the walk off HR in extra innings. One memory of Beltran that doesn't affect me negatively but he hit a HR early in the 2006 season and the fans were demanding a curtain call. Beltran wouldn't budge until Julio Franco insisted he go. He gave a half hearted wave to the crowd.
He destroyed the Braves that year in that three game sweep in August. He even won game 1 of the NLCS with his 2-run HR in the Glavine shutout. He also played the most graceful CF I've seen since Garry Maddox.

Angels put scott kazmir on waivers for his unconditional release...somewhere scott peterson is laughing

Not sure how his health is but wouldn't mind claiming him and getting him back

We're keeping track of all the signings on a Mets forum: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=228&f=1381&t=7574538

By our count, it's actually 16 signings so far. The big ones will be Nimmo and Fulmer (obviously), but then Montgomery, Evans, Marquez, Robbins and even Ake.

Yep, and while I know we're using a small sample, the dude has an OPS of 1.302 in 22 postseason games. He's far from a choker.

I was just informed that Jason Bay registered a hit and stole a base.

I now believe in miracles.

Well, considering the best hitters fail 70% of the time, I'd be remiss to label that a choke. It was one instance where he failed; it just happened to be in a big spot. He had an OPS of .980 to that point in playoffs.

Owned Texas so far this season.

Granderson has been a Ranger killer, 6 HRs in 24 ABs.

They really ought to let Carrasco stay in to bat. Just tell him to keep the bat on his shoulder. Worst case, he strikes out, bases loaded with one out for the hottest hitter in the game.

Carrasco is pitching well, and the rest of our bullpen terrifies me.

Totally unconventional, I know.

not sure why there is a mismatch? possible the signings on 9th/10th were announced previously and todays articles were just the 12 guys that just signed today.

Well, we're keeping track of signings that haven't been officially announced by the team. I.e. some guy's future college coach said, "He has signed, he won't be coming here," and things like that. Haven't compared the MetsBlog list...did they get the four guys that weren't officially announced as signed, yet were added to the Brooklyn roster? That's Muno, Clark, Taijeron and Thurber.

When Rakin Ramiro Pena is going to hit a home run it's usually a good night.

There's an example of the potential of Parnell's slider. There's just absolutely no way to hit that; particularly after the guy has thrown you 6 or 7 consecutive pitches between 95-99 with movement. Bobby really had the two-seam fastball working tonight.

If he can consistently stay focused out there, he has all the tools to be a dominant reliever.
