Proposal: Do we really need a top center?

With the B's winning the cup: Do we really need a top center?I don't think so.
Do we have the talent the B's do? No.
But really not that far off.

PIT:Gaborik(7.5), Bourque and the rights to Gilroy, Valentenko, Weise. maybe a late round pick if needed.

NYR: Staal(4), Kunitz(3.725), Niskanen(1.5) 1st round 2011. PIT cap savings 1.75.

Then another trade:
FLA: 15 and 23 picks in 2011, Anisimov, Niskanen, Christensen, Wolski and rights to Chad Johnson.

NYR: 3rd overall(Landeskog) and a second rounder.

Then trade Kunitz for a pick or a project goalie.
Then see what free agency does and who we can get. My thinking is our D is getting better and better but we need a PMD. Sign Christian Ehrhoff/James Wisniewski. Then sign Fedotenko, Jokinen and see what BR wants if too much offer sheet Zach Parise 5-6 mill.

I really like the line-up, I really do, but some logic has to be put into it. Parise who is an RFA will not be given to us by Lou for 5.5 million, thus messing up the cap numbers and making the line-up you proposed not able to happen
