Said Chris WAS a good captain and leader and it certainly sounded like he has already been bought out just not announced.

Sure did not sound like Drury would be moved to another team for another player to be bought out to save cap space. That is just how it came off to me, hopefully it will be announced sooner as opposed to later for Drury, the organization, and most importantly us so we can stop talking about it!
Pshhh, and what does Messier know? All of our board-certified Leadership Experts here at HF tell me he's a crappy leader.

The special assistant to GM Sather cannot go on the radio and say, "Hey my boss made a huge mistake, Drury was a bust!" Would be funny if he did. Torts on the other hand...

No, but he also doesn't have to go out of his way to praise his leadership. Which is something that everyone across hockey consistently does.

Any chance the Leafs take a shot at him? We know Burke loves him.

I still think he goes back to one of his old stomping grounds like Colorado or Buffalo on a 2 year deal.

Probably only if we take back Komisarek.

I wouldn't mind doing that as long as I know either MK will void his contract or be sent to HFTD.

I don't think he went out of his way, he basically said the game has passed Drury by, it was the only thing Mess said about Dru that was remotely positive. Mess is a pretty classy guy and what else can he say thats positive about Drury? Well he had that huge goal for us against the devils, other than that he didn't do anything at all this year. I have no problem with what he said... I just want Dru gone as soon as possible.

Recchi is retiring, Drury loves Boston, lives in Connecticut, and won't be a top 6 guy there. He will sign with Boston IMO.

Toronto, Buffalo, COL, Anaheim seem like good destinations to name a few.

If that doesn't work FLA has a lot of retirement homes so he should feel right at home

That's actually a very likely possibility, and one that makes a lot of sense for all parties involved.

Indeed, it does make sense. And then everyone can hate Drury for legitimate reasons--he's a Bruin!

Paragraph 13 (C)(i) of the SPC:
Quote:
(c) The notice of termination shall be effective if given in the form attached as
Exhibit 20, with a copy faxed to the NHLPA and Central Registry as follows:
(i) beginning the later of June 15 or forty-eight (48) hours after the
conclusion of the Stanley Cup Finals and ending at 5:00 p.m. New York time on June 30; and
So that would mean roughly 11PM EDT Friday, June 17th.
Which effectively means Monday, since league offices close 5 PM and do not, to the best of my knowledge, open on weekends.

Haha, of course, at least 20 goals. His legs will be like new, he will become clutch again, especially when he plays the Rangers.

Game 82, Rangers have to play the Bruins to make the playoffs and who ya' think gets the winning goal with under a minute left to knock the Rangers out of the playoffs?

Dont say things like that. With our luck it will happen. Guy doesnt score one clutch goal and he would leave and score one against us

I have never hated drury. Not once. I have been a drury supporter. But I'm also realist. Maybe you should be a little more rational and come to grips with the fact that he was not a clutch player here. He was bad, his career went downhill, and fast.

lol, the goal with 16 minutes left in the 1st was in a win or don't make the playoffs game...you've got some standards on what constitutes a clutch goal.

He wasn't bad. He really tapered off the past two seasons. Even then, it's hard to say he was BAD. He just didn't score the way he needed too.

56 and 58 points in a season from a player that plays the 2 way game the way he does, and kills penalties, is not "bad"

so 1st period goals can't be clutch? goals from 2009-2010 can't be clutch?

just stop.
