I've said it before, but I think the right pick is definitely Scheifele. He's got all the upside we want, and he was just plain dominant at the U18's. If we can't get him, my vote is with Bartschi, he's scary good to.

This. I accidentally voted for McNeill though I only saw Mark as a C and guessed wrong

I want Big Z, but if he goes before us... I wouldn't be opposed to Bartschi or McNeil. Wouldn't be completely upset if we took a chance on Saad, Jensen, or Puempel.

Ak has gone as high as 9th already in mocks. Why would take someone like saad whom has questionable hockey sense and has been falling since original rankings?

Or someone like namestnikov even! Ranked 11th and not on this list.

Why are you bringing up all these other names, Scheifele is clearly going to win this and rightfully so. I would much rather have him over khokhlachev, they put up similar numbers but Scheifele is 5 inches taller and I can't see a 5'10 player having a big impact in the NHL as a centerman.

To me its basically I don't know if Scheifele is getting good points because he is the only one capable on the team that can do it (along with the guy ahead of him.) But I mean the Colts were pretty bad and if he was getting all the minutes on the top line, then his numbers are inflated.

Someone like KK put up the same numbers as the 3rd line center.

Or someone like Namestnikov even with the OHL but the Knights weren't a top tier team this year either so I'm not sure where to put him, but he has been consistently moving up and was final ranked #11, hes a 6'0 center so then size wouldn't be an issue at that point either then I would assume.

I'm surprised that Scheifele had so many more votes than McNeill.

If you asked me now, My list would be ( As far as forwards )

1. Mark McNeill
2. Joel Armia
3. Sven Bartschi
4. Mark Scheifele

Although it's very close between McNeill and Armia and would be very happy with either if they are still on the board.

My list for defensemen, would be ( Larsson and Hamilton wont drop )

1. Ryan Murphy
2. Duncan Siemens
3. Jamie Oleksiak
4. Nathan Beaulieu

2-4 are all close also, really a toss up.

Whoops. Just missed this.
I would've probably voted for McNeill over Scheifele even though the latter probably has a higher offensive ceiling. I just really feel that if either were available, McNeill would definitely be a player that the fanbase could rally around more so than Scheifele and still put up comparable numbers.
