Okay maybe not.

Wooo, it IS happening! Official. Wow, FINALLY! I like Marc Denis, hopefully he does well in this role. Best of luck Marc!

And you too Brunet, I don't hate you, just hate you as an analyst during the games...

Marc Denis is replacing Benoit Brunet as analyst for RDS

http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/321398.html

"Boulette canon de Andrei Kossissine!"

He will still be for RDS but between periods now instead of full time analyst.

Not a huge fan of Marc Denis, but anything is better than Brunet. Thank god.

I guess people will always find reasons to complain. But man, get real. Denis is at least a millon time better than Brunet.

Hopefully Denis will improve because right now he's very bland and has the tendency to make ultra long sentences to say very little.

My god, yes!

Real big fan of Denis. Easily the most well-spoken analyst I've heard on RDS in some time. Glad he got the promotion. Will not miss Brunet at all.

Yes, he is. But, how about RDS hires someone with more expertise in communication next time? Brunet learned the hard way, Denis will eventually. You do not give a prestigious job to some rookies.

Marc Denis is the smartest person on RDS.

He speaks properly. Those people at RDS, Benoit Brunet, Jacques Demers, Michel Bergeron etc... Are ****ing ******** and speak ********. That has no place in a TV show. I would be ashamed to speak like this in real life let alone in front of millions of viewers.

Some companies like to give prestigious jobs to their own talent first. It makes them look better.

Not to mention, who else are you going to get? A lot of other "better" people either don't want the job or are locked to contracts.

Before you start hating on him, lets give him a chance.

Yeah but this time its actually from Rds so its probably the real deal. Doesn't change my life in anyway I just laughed at him last season and it became pretty funny.

Oh thank god.

Brunet has taken a lot of flak, I dont know if he deserved it all but he shouldnt be up there in the first place.

Joel Bouchard would have been better. He could explain a complex play to a 10 year old in about 10 seconds and he speaks more fluidly than Denis. Marc Denis is still a pretty good choice though and I think he has plenty of room to get better. I hope he doesn't disappoint us.

I remember saying this when Benoit replaced Yvon:

Don't get your expectations too high.

Nothing against Denis but it usually doesn't end well when you expect too much from someone, even if in that case the only expectation we have is to not be as bad as Benoit.

Denis is very well spoken and knowledgable, but he is boring as hell. Not really the proper profile for a "colour commentator."

I heard Brunet on CKAC few times recently and he is pretty good on radio, better than Mario Tremblay.

The best one is still Dany Dubé. CKAC must pay him huge bucks to keep him away from RDS.
