Holland got an invite but Reinhart didn't? Does that make sense to anybody who watched the WHL at all last year?

Seems really odd for Holland to receive and invite and not Reinhart...

Good for both of them though; here's hoping we actually have a prospect to watch at this seeing as how it'll be in Calgary.

Yeah I'm not sure why Reinhart did not get an invite, do they have enough centers?

Well there a lot of pretty good centers available at their disposal. Huberdeau, Couturier, RNH, Strome, Johansen and Connolly, just to name a few. Looks like a pretty good crop of potential centermen for the team already. Still sucks to see that Reinhart isn't really on their radar early on.

Damn politics, Reinhart could make a huge difference, he plays solid in pressure situations this years WHL playoffs for example

Just curious, but what politics are you talking about? They are both Flames prospects drafted in the same year.

Great to see Holland and Arnold get invites, suprised Reinhart didnt though.

Does anyone know if like in the NHL, can a junior player still make the team even though he does not get an invite to the summer camp if he lights it up in the first half of year? I tried to look it up to find out, but I found nothing.

Yes, they absolutely can.

It Happens every year, Also some players on the list now will not make the camp in December.

Holland is a winger, Reinhart is a center. As someone already mentioned, there are a ton of centers for team Canada.

As long as Reinhart puts on a good showing for the first couple of months, he will get that invite.

I think a few of those centers on the list might just get some NHL time off that bat, opening up a couple of positions.

I love Reinhart (hence my name here) but really it was one amazing season/playoff run (which shouldn't be discounted AT ALL) but there are guys who are further ahead in the pecking order.

A bit of a surprise not to see him there, but not blindsided by it at all. If he has a good start to the season, he will just push himself in there.

Reinhart can still make the team, although it is nice to see Holland get an invite
