Trade Thornton and Marleau, blow it up. You have a good young core with Couture and Pavelski.
A team that makes it to the conference finals in consecutive years doesn't need to blow it up. They need to add one or two certain pieces to push them over the hump. If you blow it up, the team is back where it was to start 2005.
The Sharks need to re-sign White and find a puck-mover on the left side and add some speed up front that's cheap although maybe not terribly effective, hence the price. They can work with that.
