figured i'd post this again...

I will begin collecting votes to create Pre-Season Power Rankings for the HC-IR Fantasy League. I ask that each GM send me a list from #1 (Top Ranked Team) all the way to #20 (Lowest Ranked Team). Rosters are currently up to date on FanTrax up to the end of Round 22. Rosters can also be viewed in the Roster thread but some teams may not be updated correctly. These votes hold no bearing on the course of the game they are just something to do for fun so every GM can see where his team stands in the views of fellow GMs.

Winnipeg Whatevers

Ilya Kovalchuk -- Josh Bailey -- Drew Stafford
Thomas Vanek -- Mike Santorelli -- Alexandre Burrows
Matt Moulson -- Manny Malhotra -- David Jones
Matt D'Agostini -- Anthony Stewart -- Dan Cleary
Kyle Clifford -- BJ Crombeen

Lubomir Visnovsky -- Jack Johnson
Victor Hedman -- Andrej Sekeras
Jonathan Ericsson -- Keith Ballard
Kyle Cumiskey

Pekka Rinne
Sergei Bobrovsky

Kinda happy with my team, a real lack of centres, but great depth at wing. I might be needing to bolster my assist production. I like my D corps though.

Can't believe I didn't pick Aulie. I had him high on one of my lists at one point too.

Gotta change your pick, Backlund.

Brendan Smith is ineligible for this draft, and has already been selected in the Entry Draft.

Forwards

Joe Pavelski-Ryan Kesler-Chris Stewart
PA Parenteau-Patrik Berglund-Ray Whitney
Michael Ryder-Mike Fisher-Teddy Purcell
Evgeny Dadonov-Tomas Kopecky-David Moss
Bench: Justin Abdelkader, Matt Hendricks

Defense
Alex Pietrangelo-Tomas Kaberle
Sergei Gonchar-Ian White
Oliver Ekman Larson-Mike Weber
Bench: Anton Stralman

Goaltending
Henrik Lundqvist
Ondrei Pavelec

I'm pretty happy with my team. I can admit that it's not likely to be a Top 3 team unless big things happen. However we feel the roster will be underrated, with another year of progression in Pavelski, Stewart, Pietrangelo, Berglund, Parenteau, OEL among others, some consistent performers in Whitney, Kesler, Kaberle, White, and 2 lights out goaltenders in Lundqvist and Pavelec, we're going to do some damage.

I'd say Parise, Yandle, Miller and even Lecavalier (if he keeps up his play) can be considered top end talent. I can see this being a higher end team in the league if Burmistrov/Calvert lock down Top 6 roles.
