I would think Markov would sign to a team close to a Cup instead of a bottom dweller. A team like Washington

Eklund must love this time of year more than trade deadline day...the draft, followed by UFA July 1st....I am always very skeptical of his information, but it can be entertaining....

I'm just thinking; If Markov and someone else go down during the season, to injury, the Habs are so screwed.

And that's why we need to replace Hammer, and not with Wiz, but someone who can take the #1-2 spot if Markov goes down.

Jagr would get around $5M and Gorges $3.5M irl.

If Jagr asks for $5 million, I think that is when the Habs stop showing interest.

If Gorges wants 3.5M trade his rights and sign both Markov and Wisniewski.

Love the guy, he's a warrior, and I know it isn't his job to put up offensive numbers, but if you pay that much for a guy who would struggle to get 20 points then you're gonna hurt your team.

I can bet you whatever you want that you are greatly exagerating what Gorges will get.

1- He's still RFA
2- He's had as worst an injury as Markov
3- Minimal offensive contribution, while being quite awful defensively last season, because he played a top 4 role he shouldn't be playing, which also brings people like you to have irrealistic expectations, which also translate to a bad analysis of what Gorges is worth.

He won't get more than 2,5 mil, and I'm usually on the money when it comes to impending contracts to sign.

On top of being an "anonymous blogger", posting anonymously here.

That rule seems highly skewed.

MAG comes here, mostly everyone who's been around here for awhile knows which poster he is.

If Eklund actually had a real face and name to associate it with, and we'd actually know which poster he is, I'd agree with the rule. Pretty sure there are a lot of journalists who come here anonymously and get their 'good' names dirtied more often than not, and yet they never seem to bother, because outside of 'Eklund', we've never heard a mod tell us to not crap on some journalist.

But since he likes to live with all the anonymous crap, he should also live with the criticism directed at his "persona".

No matter if he's been right a few times, some of the "rumors" he brings are sometimes completely wack, lack any seriousness and are an insult to most intelligent people. And that's just the beauty of posting anonymously, there's no accountability. So why should we be accountable for what we say about some anonymous poster slash anynomous blogger who's not accountable to anyone?

We should at least know which poster he is, if we have to respect a made-up name, a friggin persona ffs, a ficticious name that has NOTHING to do with HF at all.

I agree... but if i can honestly remember i believe he posts as eklund (or at least did, when this site still ran in the thread run down days lol ) LONG time ago... I havent seen much registered to eklund other than a bit of a debate about his low % of being correct.

Does anyone remember Eklund the clown? I believe he was the samme eklund...

Just because he is a member here he cannot be called out for his 97% BS posts?

I agree – calling him out for being a fraud (since he's considered to be a source) is not the same as calling him out as a member here. But hey, what do we know.

Go crazy on the rumors, just don't flame the person who happens to be a member of HF.

As overlords said, let's focus more on the rumors now and less on the man behind the rumors.

I find this odd. So when someone posts a story without a source...the thread is closed. But Eklund can post consistant BS rumours that he makes up and nobody can call him out on it?

So if I chose to post a BS rumour as well and claim that I have inside sources...does that mean my thread doesn't get closed?!?
