Vigneault's #1 job is to coach this team to the cup, not babysit a prospect. One of his jobs is to oversee Hodgson's development but not at the expense of winning. Vigneault chooses to limit Hodgson's minutes because that's what he thinks will help us win. I do not think there is a personal vendetta or anything else. If Hodgson demands a trade then so much for "maturity" because he's been given ample opportunity to earn a roster spot which he has yet to do due to injuries.
