I was thinking last night that I don't understand rioting over sports, but I think I'd get it if Mets fans tore up the city right now.

I don't know why I got so mad. I guess I officially bleed blue and orange? (do we say that? isn't it a little heretical?)

No harm in bringing Kazmir back on a minor league deal.

It reaches a point where you're no longer surprised by these things, and just laugh about them once the anger subsides.

Anyone remember earlier in the thread when I was talking about "Only the Mets?" Well, only the Mets, only the Mets.

And sorry BB. They've got you hooked. It's like some bizarre form of sports masochism. Welcome to the **** show.

I hate BB/HR-Rod with a burning passion. He is my most hated Met of all time.

I'd take K-Rod over Armando Benitez.

I wouldn't. Armando doesn't have a 17+M vest.

Won tickets to the game on Sunday at Citi. Really nice seats, time to make my Keep Reyes sign?

and here's hoping Hairston can tie the game here.

None at all. Thats why I wouldnt mind seeing Yanks take a shot at him too.

I think he's done however. Cant find the plate and he's lost velocity. Sitting on 85-86 now whereas he used to be 92-93 guy.

Could pick up one of those Don't Trade Reyes shirts from The 7 Line. They put out some good stuff.

Pelf just got ninja pied.

Great game, glad to see Pelf pitch a good game. Hopefully a sweet complete game can keep him from mentally collapsing for his next few starts.

Just five earned in his last three starts. If Pelf can turn the corner and regain some consistency, that's a huge boost to the Mets.

His ERA after his first 3 starts has been like 3.22 or something really sweet like that (read it on AA). It just seems so much worse because he mentally collapses and just loses games.

Well that was a horrible game. Fun times, but that was probably one of the worst games i've seen all season. Disappointing.

Also did Ralph Kiner say something regarding "Jo-se can you see?" or am I going nuts? We were on line for drinks and I coulda swore I heard him say it on the TV and my friends and I chanted it when Jose came up to bat.

I get a dreadful, anemic offense all winter accompanied by the powerplay that should not be, and then all of a sudden I have the Yankees dropping double-digit nuclear eruptions every third night. This is so bipolar I think I might go into shock

The Mets are going nowhere fast unless they start to be a little more consistent. We have Oakland coming in for three. A sweep would be absolutely huge, but at this point you just hope you can take 2 out of 3 from each team. Besides, the A's have won 5 in a row.
