Good to turn over some part of the coaching staff once in a while, best of luck to Yawney get getting a head coaching job.
I'd be interested to see ir Ricci/Mush are in line for the Assistants position

Why is everyone so down on TY? What indications were there that he wasn't a good coach?

Other than he was the coach that was responsible for the defensive side (pairings, PK) which had some really problems this past season?

vlasic has completely stopped progressing under him for starters.
if the sharks are bringing up a young defensive core next year they need someone who can bring them along.
i was honestly surprised yawny did such a "bad job" though i thought bringing up young defensemen was supposed to be his thing. granted he was not given a whole lot to work with on that blue line...

Rob Blake as an assistant would be a good idea me thinks!

Aside from that rather sexy benefit, he also was a hell of a d-man and a leader during his time with San Jose. Also in favor of Blake for similar reasons.

Got a job, and he was the offensive coach anyway, not the defensive coach.

He has apparently been told that he is not in the plans to return citing Braun as being the guy for the spot he had played.

The video with DW and Dan makes it less clear IMO. Kind of insinuating that the balls in their court now and best offers have been made and they must make the choices that are best for them.
