Sources say Raptors are seriously looking at Biyombo. He'll workout for them on Monday. Could take him at 5 or might move down a few spots
Oh god...

If we pick Bismack at 5...

What a waste of a top 5 pick that would be.

Agreed. A strickly defensive player isn't somebody you waste a high pick on. Hell we came close to getting Chandler for peanuts and he actually has an adequate offensive game. We need a more well rounded player.

I can't wait. NBA and NHL drafts on back to back nights.

No diet coke, but still... that's not an NBA coach. that's either a frazzled accountant or some high school is missing their grade 9 physics teacher.

So just thinking out loud here.

Rumor has it that Brandon Jennings is available for the right price (or was the rumor a while back).

They have one of the best C's in the league in Bogut, but they don't have anyone to pair him with PF wise.

Now Jennings turned in a bit of a chucker this season (averaged 16 shots a game to score 16 pts a game IIRC), but he's 21 and a former 10th overall pick 2 years ago.

I feel Bargs and Bogut would form a damn good PF-C combo. Bogut is really strong defensively, and Bargs would really mesh with him well I'd think.

We'd probably have to add, but would you guys take the risk of having a deal around Bargs and Jennings?

Look, the obvious choice here is KEMBA WALKER. This guy is a steal, yeah he's small, but he has tons of heart, speed and a good passer. If BC does decide to look elsewhere then we know he is not looking at the best interest for this team.

Cardiac KEMBA!

Dwight Howard averages about 20ppg for his career. For all the rawness in his offensive game when he entered the league, he at least had one, even if it was (and to some degree still is) just dunks and put-backs. Biyombo has absolutely nothing offensively.

Another name out there for the Raptors, although lower on the list according to Doug Smithis Kawhi Leonard out of San Diego State.

The Dallas Morning News confirms that Mavs assistant Dwane Casey is expected to be named the head coach of the Raptors sometime this week.

Ecstatic to know that we finally got him. It was between the Pistons and Raptors. Look forward to seeing what he can do with this squad. Apparently for BC, it came down to Casey or Frank.

I'd be good with that, best case scenario, it fixes our center and pg problem, worst case scenario.. busts! But if we end up just having #5 i'd pick jonas valanciunas, and pick a pg next year(or trade for one using our 2012 pick?)

With so much indecision above them in the draft — Cleveland has the first and fourth picks sandwiched around Minnesota at No. 2 and Utah at No. 3 — it’s been impossible for the Raptors to get a firm grasp on who might be available at their choice.

They have, according to league sources, made efforts to move up to No. 2 but don’t have a good match with Minnesota and have narrowed their list of draft hopefuls to about four.

That group would include Kentucky guard Brandon Knight, Lithuanian centre Jonas Valanciunas, San Diego State swingman Kawhi Leonard and Biyombo with Vesely and Connecticut guard Kemba Walker as fallback possibilities.
Like I stated earlier, I'm starting to like Kemba more and more, to the point that I think he could end up being one of the best players to come out of this draft.

I would hope we would pick Kemba over Vesely, Biyombo, Leonard, Val, and maybe even Knight.

Knight I think will be pretty good, but I don't know. Walker just screams winner, is a leader, and I think would be a perfect fit for the Raps.

I like Valanciunas, but it's appearing more and more likely that we won't be coming over until '12-'13.

Walker was relied upon to score in college, he put up great numbers and for a small guy keeps finding ways to score all over the court. I love how he drives the basket and his fearless style of play. People keep saying he's not a true point guard but I honestly don't see a problem with his play making ability. If there is a point guard in this draft that I would be extremely skeptical about it would be Knight.

Not that I trust ESPN's John Hollinger on the draft, since his rigid PER conversion formula draft ranker thing tends to miss quite often, but he's convinced that Brandon Knight is a prime candidate to bust.

EDIT: Derp, that "not" totally **** up that last sentence.

His draft board is:

1. Kyrie Irving
2. Derrick Williams
3. Tristan Thompson
4. Jonas Valanciunas
5. Kawhi Leonard
6. Enes Kanter
7. Kemba Walker
8. Tobias Harris
9. Alec Burks
10. Jordan Hamilton
11. Bismack Biyombo
12. Brandon Knight
13. Tyler Honeycutt
14. Jon Leuer
15. Nikola Vucevic
16. Chris Singleton
17. Jan Vesely
18. Klay Thompson
19. Norris Cole
20. Iman Shumpert
21. Nikola Mirotic
22. Jimmer Fredette
23. Donatas Motiejunas
24. Greg Smith
25. Marcus Morris
26. JaJuan Johnson
27. Markieff Morris
28. Davis Bertans
29. Kenneth Faried
30. Jeremy Tyler

Thompson at 3? Leonard 5? Knight 12? Jimmer 22?

Seriously, ESPN has become a laughable site now.
