I'm not going to get into whether the NYI are a playoff team next year from 73 pts last year. But Hammer and Nielsen are equal quality players, so it does not decrease their chances of getting the #8 seed next year.. But Hammer will be forced to stick around for two more years, while Nielsen will be lost to UFA

Some deals will be signed soon. Now that the cap is known, Bowman knows how much money he had to keep who he wants.

Forgive me if I get this wrong, but for those teams that are losing money and now have to spend a lot of money just to reach the cap floor, isn't that just going to set those teams back even further financially?
