Toronto was one of the last teams that got a report but it's finally out.

If I have a complaint about the Leafs draft it's that their higher picks (outside of Rask) don't really have a ton of upside- even if they were to pan out.

Besides Rask, the guys with probably the most upside are Stralman and Rau and they were picked in the 7th round.

I agree with the writer though, I still think the Leafs could have got a steal with Rau. I can't wait to see how he does next year.

It's a lot of fun when the team picks a player that you actually wanted them to take a chance on- especially a late rounder.

**** yay! I was about to spam the boards complaining. .

Edit;

And how long till we know Rask's HF score?

" considered by some to be a more promising prospect than Carey Price "

I always had him ahead of Price, even if I aint no scout.

Considering the selections they had, one has already played for his country.

Crap shoot selecting 18 year olds who haven't even finished growing, and been playing under poor political conditions.

I'm happy we got Rask, but I also liked the Oreskovic pick I saw him play with Brampton he's a very good physical defecenmen, but Chad Rau was a complete STEAL he was amazing in the USHL, he's going on to play college hockey in Colorado.

I hope he'll bring him game to the next level there.

I really like what Oreskovic brings to the table. It should be interesting to see how he developes ove the next few years, especially once he hits the marlies.

I can see him being a defencemen who will go for the big open ice hit like Scott Stevens.

Yeah hopefully he turns out but I think the best pick the Leafs made (outside of taking Rask) was their 7th pick Chad Rau. I am surprised he was even available that late. He was taken second to last overall. OK so the guy is small. But wow can he score. And all the reviews on the guy are glowing. SO what is he is only 5'10" 170 lb. (he'll put on more weight I am sure) Theoren Fluery was only 5'6" 180. Hopefully he turns out like Theo without all the drinking/drug problems.
