In the end if the Rangers got the Leafs earliest 1st and a 2nd and 4th for the 15th I am ok with it

again I agree if the right player is there then just take the pick and dont bother moving

basically agree
Would rather:
a trade down to 5 depending upon what FL will want
b keep the pick
c take a later 1st this year and a 2nd this year.

If we pick 15, it may be McNeil...

I agree with some of the other Rangers fans in this thread. Unless something really good drops to #15, try and trade it for a 2012 first rounder or a 2011 first and 2012 second. Next year's draft is supposed to be much better, and the more 2012 picks the Rangers have, the better off they will be.

I would totally package something around the 31st overall for the 15, depending on what that price is. Any needs for non-pick assets (players)?

We need players with top line potential. We have good depth pretty much everywhere else.

Nobody is going to give up a prospect with top line potential for the 15th pick. I think we either stand pat and take a boom or bust player at 15, or get a late 1st and early 2nd and do the same thing.

Any prospect that would be thrown in with that 31st most likely won't be of any use to us, since we need players with high upside, and teams don't give those guys up.

Would gladly do 25th pick and BOS 2nd 2012 + mid round pick for the 15th

This is probably the highest the Rangers will pick in a while, so I would hold onto the pick.

As mentioned before, they already got Tim Erixon, who was going to be a top-10 pick. So essentially, the Rangers have a chance to draft the 9th/10th and 15th best players in a draft.

There is nothing of interest in the lower 1st/upper 2nd, at least I dont think there is from a Rangers standpoint.

If they do trade down, I wouldnt go as far down as 20 or 21. maybe trade the 15th to Ottawa for the 21st and their lower 2nd rounders or a pick in next years draft

Or we can just take your guy and trade him to you in a few years for 2 1sts and a 2nd.

See, this game is fun. 25+2012 2nd should really be the demand.
