No mercy. Let's ruin their return with invading the arena and winning. Olé, Olé, Olé

Wow, Molson is a frieking joke.

I don't believe this.

This better be a prank or it won't be pretty.

invade their arena for the lulz

this is good to hear, this pretty much means that we wont be playing boston in their home opener (banner raising)....unless the nhl really really hates us.

You're right...hopefully they can get another Winter Classic game this year, too.

Just hate seeing the Habs start out on the road every ****ing year.

and back it right down, Robin.

Wow, that's unreal. Give them a division opponent.

Let me guess, we have to sit through the Bruins banner raising too?

They might be. It's a large French community in Winnipeg. I would not be surprised if a good chunk of their season ticket holders watched the Habs play for the last 15 seasons.

Ive already 99% got tickets to this game, so there will be some Ole's going on. Hopefully a bunch of us attend and we make it look like a home game for MTL in their first game back!

Am I the only one who likes starting the season on the road? We usually have a pretty good record in that opening trip.

I'm just ecstatic we aren't starting the season against Toronto.

Two seasons ago Markov got injured and last year we lost and the Leafs went on to win 4 straight and their fans became the cockiest fanbase on HF overnight.

He's going to probably be on the starting line up, and he usually goes for a big hit on his first shift... Depends if we win or lose the faceoff. We lose the faceoff, within 15 seconds.

To be fair, their division opponents are in Florida. The teams they'll want to create rivalries with are in the Western Conference (where they'll presumably move next year).

Montreal & Toronto are the two teams that will come more than once. I am sure the Winnipeg ownership requested a marquee opening game, and CBC forbade it to happen on Saturday night since that would involve not showing the Leafs at home in Toronto.

So if you want to blame someone? Blame MLSE and the CBC
