Awesome. I get to see my new team stomp my old, relocated team in the first game of the season. Although the way the games with Montreal and Atlanta usually went, someone is winning 3-2 in the shootout.

very excited our first home game is vs Montreal. Couldn't be happier! Montreal is a first class organization and its an honor for us to start our new beginning vs the class of the NHL. As for the guys here who are joking around thinking you will take over our building good luck haha, we will be loud and in full support of our team.

Why are you guys complaining? ROFL This is probably the most historic regular season game in a long while and we get to be involved in it. Plus, we get to troll hard when we win and everyone leaves the MTS ********.

One thing is sure, I won't miss those bore-me-till-I-sleep games against ATL. Nothing against the team and fans, but those games were so boring. Then again, Winnipeg has the same team so it probably won't change much.

Looking forward to reading your comments about that game BTWD, I'm sure it won't be an easy one for you.

In 92-93 we were the opponent in Ottawa for the return of the Senators; won the Cup later that season.

In 11-12 we are the opponent in Winnipeg for their return; ?????

Since we do this every year - for as long as I can remember, the Habs specifically request to open the season on the road, for a variety of reasons.

Yes, finally relieved of that awful avatar. Although mine wasn't too bad, it was Lucic beating up Komi and in retrospect, it was a bit enjoyable.

I actually enjoyed my avatar.

It was funny, people kept making fun of me cuz I had a toronto avatar, but it was also a raycroft jersey and no Toronto fan in his right mind in 2011 would have a raycroft jersey as an avatar, so I got to make fun of people for assuming I was a Leafs fan.

Bruins home opener is against the Flyers.

Hopefully the banner gets 3/4 of the way up and collapses.

Sigh. Those jokes don't work anymore.

geez the first posters that replied are a bunch of cry babies. To these guys, please stop whining about anything, it's ridiculous..

As for playing Winnipeg on their home opener, it's a great honor. I actually like it a lot!

It's a blessing in disguise starting on the road imo. Some teams take advantage of it, usually speed teams since people are getting back into the swing of things.

Mistakes will be made opportunities will be had, ultimately Montreal takes in in OT 4-3 against Winnipeg and we all rejoice.

It makes sense. It cant be a coincidence that the habs have started on the road for over a decade.
