What will the Coyotes do?

With the kings picking up Richards and the Coyotes even without an owner still, have plenty of money to play with in free agency and possibly via trade. Who does Don Maloney try to bring in?

Nothing too big! Without an owner I think Maloney's hands are somewhat tied.

I'm hoping we can get Anders Lindback from Nashville, he's far from proven but watching the kid play makes me feel like he is going to be a legit # 1 goalie he was terrific when Rinne went down.

To NSH:MacLean + 3rd
To PHX:Lindback

Then Nashville uses Dekanich(sp?) as a backup.

Nothing, we will do absolutely nothing until we get a ****ing owner. GMDM must be losing his mind, not to mention the players watching the team they play on get worse and worse. This is getting ridiculous.

EDIT: This is way beyond ridiculous.

Their budget will be between 53-55 million and they have 39 mil dedicated to players now so that leaves between 14-16 mil to play with.

Probably nothing to shocking, but at least they were in the playoffs the last 2 years with no ownership.

Nothing. DM will be patient and then begin to pick the extra pieces around end of July/August.

Barring a Draft day deal.

Maloney said that he will be active both in the trade market for NHL level players at the draft, and he will be active in free agency

He said he will try, that doesn't mean we'll get anything; we usually don't. But watching every other team in the league get better is always fun.

The thread title should be "what will the NHL do"

They shouldn't be allowed to do anything until they get an owner.

If it were me they would be required to stay at the cap floor until an owner arrives to pay the bills.

Other NHL teams shouldn't have to pay the price to sustain another team or at least above and beyond what other viable organizations are operating at.

is this a trick question?
Or are you trying to bash the franchise?
He will try to put together a roster of legitimate NHLers.
It would be nice if Richards would be willing to play for Az on a cheap short term contract (I'm pretty sure he won't). Maybe Philly wants to make another trade. There's always the Rangers. Maybe Snow will trade Nabokov to the Coyotes since Maloney traded Montoya to the Islanders. Maybe Columbus and/or LA be willing to trade a center to AZ. There are an infinite amount of options, but most aren't realistic. I would never have speculated both Richards and Carter get traded, but it happened...
I can see a minor UFA D'man signing, but IMO, quality UFA forwards would be harder to come by. And which RFAs hadn't been qualified (won't know until monday)?
Now to answer the OP, anyone that would want to come to AZ that would be a good fit to the team...
