Anyone know what they are doing with those 200 section tickets for the 2nd half of the season? Guess they will sell them individually or in mini plans or something. They are going away after the season as far as I have been told. Think the new Madison Suites will be located there going forward.

Those 200 sections will be on sale from the beginning as season tickets or individuals. People who are moved there temporarily have the option to buy the seats for the second half and going forward, if they don't buy them they'll mostly be offered as season tickets if not in January 2012 then after this season is over.

Also, the 300 sections that are closed and re-opening are going to be completely different. The architects are re-doing them and anyone staying pat there will get different seats in the same "general area". My rep told me that the 3D interactive viewer is not accurate. It's a temporary view and will be different for the second half of the season

Interesting about being able to purchase those 200s as seasons. Where will they be relocated to after the year is over? My understanding is that these seats will be ripped out next summer when they install the mid level suites and the new upper bowl.

There will have to be another relocation. My rep offered to move me there for the whole year but I declined. If they don't offer season seats there to new business they'll just be sold on a game by game basis

Fair enough. I know I (and everyone else in the 300s now) would be pissed if someone came in today and bought seasons there and ended up 5 or 10 or whatever rows in front of us in the new upper bowl.

Not sure I follow, are you keeping your current 300s for january 2012 or did you change sections? When you say keep the 200s at no cost, do you mean for the second half at $59?? I was told they would be full price $100 in the second half

I just got off the phone with my rep, apparently the capacity of MSG for the first half of the season is only 13,000. I think the demand for tickets will be very high during this time.

How is that possible? What else are they working on that won't be ready? Because there's no way the end zone 300's = 5,200 seats.

Well, I guess we won't have to hear about the Garden buying out tickets to preserve the sell-out streaks

Can't wait for stupid people going "Stupid Rags should relocate. They get lower attendance the Islanders!". Probably the same idiots saying that the Rangers need to renovate the garden

They can't really be behind yet because everything is scheduled out for months and in the hands of their contractors. The firms have a fixed due date in January and if they aren't finished with their contract then they have very stiff $$$ penalties. If something unexpected has happened we probably would have heard something about it

Just got off the phone with my rep. Had tickets in section 115 last year and was reassigned to section 110, center of the section.

Moved over to 102 which is behind the goal we defend twice a game. Key was getting aisle seats for me.

Seems like there are a ton of options to move around.

I would imagine that in this economy the latest prices for the lower bowl are going to be the last straw for a lot of long timers who are just going to stubhub it

I can assure you there are nowhere near 16,000 season ticket holders.

I am personal friends with my rep. and I was in Manhattan last night and had a few drinks with him. He was telling me that there are still plenty of tickets available in the lower section but the 300,s and 400,s are picked clean. He also told me something that I found interesting in that between cancellations and new STH,s the Rangers are plus 80 STH,s this year as compared to minus 155 last year. That is not total seats but actual subscribers so it might not sound like a lot but they lost over 500 seats last year to non-renewals and this year added about 300 so far. Also with a possible basketball lockout they could gain more subscribers and I was told they have about another 50-60 they hope to finalize before the season. I know that last year during the 2nd half and the playoffs the Rangers were a very hot ticket.

Have the people who were relocated in the lower bowl been assigned virtually the same vantage point as they had in loge and 100's? Asking because i am in 335 right now and would like same view from center ice when relocated. Thanks for any info !

i talked to my rep on friday and asked what is going to be open for season ticket holders that want to add more seats to thier account and she said that most likely there will be a couple of pairs in the 400s behind the goals and possibly in the 300s

Do you think there is any truth to that?
