He really isn't. I think you may have looked at the 09-10 season where he put up 39... last season he put up 26.

Not very superstar-ly.

I'm tellin ya, he's over the hill.

what do you think?
There was no suggestion at all that it was Joe Thornton, they didn't even discuss his name .

Stellick asked Marleau perhaps ??, then they discussed him not really being the missing piece in TO, but Thornton wasn't even mentioned.

Do you have to throw your Mike Richards temper tantrum in EVERY topic?

Joe Pavelski is the target from San Jose if in fact they're talking trade and it makes sense for both teams. Thorton is going nowhere it's the rise of Coutore that has made Pavelski available and is perfect for Toronto a gritty 2 way play making player who's excellent on the PK and face offs, he may not be a true #1 but an excellent fall back if Richards doesn't sign come July 1st and it wouldn't cost the team Kadri + to land. Bozak + 30 pick should be enough considering it's cap related in San Jose's case. As far as I'm concern Pavelski is just as good as Stastny that people value as an elite player which he isn't.

I know that a Richards, Grabovski, Pavelski down the middle is darn good

Kessel - Richards - Lupul

Mac?/Kadri - Grabo - Kulemin

Armstrong - Pavelski - Kadri/Frattin

I like the look of this top 9

Now that looks like a playoff team. Pavelski is exactly the player we would love to have, but only if we fix our number1 center issue first. If we sign richards great, then we can possibly go after Statsny/Pavelski. However if we don't get Richards, we have to go get Statsny to make sure we find our number1 center. Despite all of that, I'm still happy with taking it slow and seeing what Colbourne can do. Here's hoping for the latter.

Very Scarey to say the least

At some point San Jose is going Sell, they've been trying to get to the Cup final for years. Their payroll is high and has been for years, they don't sell out, example their were almost as many Canuck fans as Shark fans in the playoffs. I expect the Owners are fed up and want to shed Salaries and rebuild. Would the Leafs give up several draft picks and young players for over the Hill highly paid players who just can't get over the Hump. Would Burke put it all on the Line to save Ronnie and make the playoffs for a couple of years, then we bottom out again with no prospects in the system.
