ha ha ha ha hahahahahhahahhahaha

I nearly spit up my coffee reading this!

Ahhh... memories of the days we drafted russians. Smirnov and Chistov... so much promise. Unfortunately, that's where it also ended.

I hope the talk about getting a center was just a ruse so we have a chance at Matt Puempel. This team will lack scoring once Teemu retires. Also, you don't need to draft a great potential-induced center. Rooch was never considered a great center, but he did a great job being the glue to the high scoring duo of Teemu and the Betrayer. (Steve Rucchin is Rooch... see what happens when people bring up names from the past! I start to remember. LoL)

Love what Kyle brings but the Couturier I think is the perfect center behind Getzlaf.. I'd give #22, Palmieri +3rd... I could be way off on the value though.
I'd rather trade Holland in that case, we can't really afford to trade winger prospects. But would still need to add I'm guessing

Of course you'd have to consider it though, as we already have Etem, I guess personally I just wouldn't feel comfortable with lack of wingers in the system I suppose

We do have more wingers than Centers. If we were going for Couturier you don't trade your only viable center prospect (Holland) for him.

Understandable but the general consensus is Center>Winger no? Also I think it's easier for center to move to the wing than a winger trying to make the change to center (Bobby Ryan was an example of that). We lack good certain depth. However, I've been Holland's biggest fan since day 1 as many have doubted him... I guess it just kind of depends on how you value certain players and positions..

I understand that, but if we're trading for Coutirer I'd rather trade off Holland for it and go like that, but the cost would probably be Palmieri+Holland+22nd for him I'd say and isn't worth it. And as I said on the very next post, you'd have to consider Palmieri though when it comes down to netting someone like Courtier

Rather trade up to around 15ish if McNeil is still on the board

You look on the other hand though, you trade Palmieri for Courtirer and then you have a lack of wingers in the system.

Glass half empty, half full situation.

And yes I'm aware that I'm spelling it differently every time

Lol... Like I stated it just depends on how you value the different positions... In my eyes very few wingers can take over a game single handedly. Quite honestly I don't think Palmieri is even remotely close to one of those wingers. To me it's not even remotely close.

It's getting pretty close now. I have an odd feeling that Murray has something up his sleeve today.

I have this lingering feeling that someone is getting moved today from the Ducks.

It won't be anyone of Ryan, Getzlaf, Perry, Koivu, Visnovsky, Lydman, Fowler or Hiller. So I'm not too nervous

Same here, but I think yesterday is contributing to that.
