Good Lord what did he do? Run over your dog?

some fans only notice defensemen when they make a mistake, and then never let it go.

We need not a wing as MacArthur or a d-man as Komisarek. Especially not for Tyutin. So, no. We need a good d-man not average. Brassard for a d-man and I will be satisfied.

Leafs garbage that gets more than 60 points eh?

So if MacArthur is garbage what does that make Burrows, Yappiere, Raymond and other Canucks garbage?

2011 MacArthur > Brassard

well they could maybe leave in Komisarek but they'd have to swap Tyutin with Commodore and even then I'm not sure if CLB would do it.

By this logic we could just as easily solve our goalscoring woes by signing Jonathan Cheechoo.

I like it. Get rid of Komi AND get Brassard? Where does Burke sign?

Unrealistic though :/

I don't know it's really tough. Columbus really doesn't want picks or prospects; they can't use wings, just top pairing defense. I wouldn't ask for Schenn and do not want Phaneuf. Maybe there is just no way the Leafs can offer what Columbus needs.

Columbus has a strong group at center ice, and surely Brassard or Vermette could be avialable for top pairing blue liners.

As a Jackets fan -- I don't see Tyutin or Brassard being a good fit with Toronto. Tyutin goes through phases where he makes big mistakes, he would be driven out of Toronto by the end of the season by the fans and media. Brass is no better than Grabovski currently. I think The Leafs would be better off trying to find a higher quality, proven #1 center. I really don't see any good trades between the two teams this off season.

Brassard
Huselius

for

MacArthur
Komisarek
30th overall

Leafs get Brassard who is a center with low end 1st center potential they desperately need and take on an absolutely brutal contract in Huselius for this year.

Blue Jackets get a 2nd line calibar winger to play on there top 2 lines and a dman who is overpaid in actual dollars for only this year who will be given every chance to revive his career in a smaller market on a team that desperately need NHL calibar dmen added to its roster (after this year Komis actual salary goes down and the salary cap number is irrelevant to the Blue Jackets because they don't ever spend to the cap). Plus they gain a late 1st rounder.

2011 MacArthur > Brassard
Well, maybe Toronto can sign 15-point Ponikarovsky, see if he can hit 60 again, then try to foist him on some unsuspecting team as somehow being worth picking up.

Yeah who would want a versatile winger (can play either left or right side) that got 62 points this past season and was publicly praised on multiple occassions by teammates and management for his work ethic off the ice.

Oh and did I mention he is cap controllable as an RFA?

What a complete bum. He doesn't even belong in the NHL.

Then why do Leaf Posters continually offer him in trade proposals?

If he's all that ...

.... just keep him.

I'm not trying to be insulting but we're at the point that anything coming from the Leafs gets an automatic NO. We've endurred years of proposals that only benefit the Leafs. We have Leaf fans come over to our boards and try to educate us ignorant hockey fans. I don't think Columbus is alone with this feeling.

I don't know it's really tough. I'd like to accommodate Leaf fans because after all you are the Centre of the Hockey Universe. It's just that well, you don't have any players that really fill a need for Columbus. Columbus needs top pairing PUCK MOVERS. You don't have those.
