Calder - Arnason - Daze

25 goals - 45 assists = 70 points

Im a little ashamed to say he is our 1st line center. But he will flourish under Yawney and 70 points is about right. Ruutu and Daze are going to score a ton of goals.

If scoring due to the "new rules" goes up quite a bit (say 20% increase over 2003/04 level)--then 70 pts as a "1st line centre"--won't be all that much ...
Even adding ONLY 15 points from his 2003/04 level to get to just 70 pts, won't be that successful a season for arnason...IF he went from 55 pts to 80 points (at the league 2003/04 level of overall league-wide scoring,THEN that would be a great accomplishment--BUT if scoring overall goes up 20% --THEN he would need to score about 96 pts to equal the 80 at the 2003/2004 level that would place him in the upper tier of centres..if he ONLY got (70 x1.2)= 84points at the new scoring levels,he would be in the middle tier of 1st line centres centres = an average 1st liner, but not among the elite...

So we are asking him to go from a maudlin 55 point man which frankly can't cut it as a "1st line centre" to at least in the middle of the pack at the first line centre position --or more hopefully, to take his place among the elite of 1st line centres
What he actually achieves or not will go a long way to determing the Hawks' success or lack thereof this year..

Tyler Arnason shouldn't be a teams first line center. He's a career second line center.

If scoring stays the same i'd say he's good for 65 points this year.

If scoring goes up a bit probably 75.

Actually,Arnason whoile not big (height-wise) or fast, nevertheless is ofeensively talented when he applies himself---he tore up the AHL a few years ago in his rookie year their, giving a hint of what he MIGHT become...so this is a test of whether he can "step up" to be a first line centre in the top group of NHL first line centres--he might become a Marcel Dionne kind of scorer...

My hopes are that he Nets at least 28 goals and 45 assists.
