I guess we won't be drafting any Ds in next year's first round.

While I'm glad we got a big D that plays in the Q. I was really hoping for a big winger. Well, let's see how it goes. After all, we have a few old defensemen that are going to leave the team next season or the one after that. I guess it might be in preparation to that.

Really happy with the pick! People will discover him as he progresses. Not that long ago, there was that talk who between Ouellet and Beaulieu...then Beaulieu improved his play while Ouellet didn't progress.

But Beaulieu will be just another great offensive d-man with tremendous offensive instincts and great puckmoving abilities. Will need to be stronger, like 99% of the players, and will need to improve defensively, but he did that A LOT this year. I'm really pleased.

What's more pleasant is that while the Bruins are obviously happy to have gotten Hamilton, they were really high on Beaulieu as well so we didn't gave them an opportunity to trade and get another pick to pick him....

PG said they always draft the player with the most potential and never draft by need so don't expect a forward or goalie necessarily.

I have never been excited about a prospect but I'm excited for this Bealuoieu

I'm too excited to learn how to spell his name. I never even heard of him 20 mins ago but I like the 2 video's that I seen. I'm excited.

I'm really excited about this pick. They picked the best player available, and sounds like he's going to be a potential stud on D. I really have a feeling that some salary will be shred soon, gauthier made it quite apparent the its "fluid". This is fun.

Great Pick! I was hoping for Mark McNeil, but a big PMD is always a good move. Likely means Weber can be moved

Classy move by Minny fans with booing Gauthier when he spoke french Sad, expect better from such a classy group

Yes, I had assumed that from his last name, he was Quebecer, though I verified. I edited it out.
