So what the habs just drafted is the white version of PK Subban.
Beaulieu skates GREAT and I mean GREAT, A bit bigger then PK at 6.3..
he slide from #11 right to the Habs lap. I think the Habs were to take McNeil but when Beaulieu was still on the board you just had to grab Beaulieu.

I'm ecstatic about this pick. He's such a good talent. He's a good skater and even though he's not the best defensively, he can learn that just like PK did. He's not small either, so if he can learn to use his size even a bit, even better.

He couldn't have been picked by a better team to develop him as a two-way PMD.

Our D depth now seems to have gain back some strenght after the loss of McD and Fischer.

Cool to see the Habs draft a Sea Dog. Beaulieu is a very good offensive defenseman and has good size.

Would have preferred a center but you can't pass up on Beaulieu at #17.

Hard not to love the pick...Big can skate and awesome offensive skills...truly a home run pick, but not a lot of downside, getting a top 10 calibre guy at #17 sort of like Fowler and Gormley last year. Gotta love the skill and depth of young talent on defense.

From what I hear about this pick I like it a lot more than the Tinordi pick.

Does he has, at least, a bit of toughness in him?

Glorious pick that far down. I love it. Saw him play this season, and I think this kid has great chances of making it big.

He probably speaks "learnt at school while being semi-interrested" french, and he said he's gonna work on it, so there Gainey has been faking speaking french for a long time and we love him for it!

He's a good all around D, with balls. He was there when it counted in the playoffs. You can't teach clutch.

Beaulieu looked very unhappy to be taken by the Habs. He doesnt speak french and now has major pressure to learn it. He wasnt very excited in my opinion.

This is a great pick.

I'm really excited about it, and we have some pretty intriguing depth on defense now. Something's gotta give eventually.
