Pens-Leafs

this is my first proposal, i have been looking at cap hits and everything to make sure it still fits for both sides, and as this is my first post please don't eat my face lol, but i have been a reader here for a long time now and i finally want to start participating in discussions with people as in love as hockey as i am, anyway no more silly stuff lets get talking hockey.

to pens,
Kulemin
D'amigo
2end round (tor 2012)

to tor,
Staal

reason i think it could work is becasue i think kule with corsby or malkin = kules numbers up from 30g-27a-57p
and they get a good center prospect in d'amigo and the 2end rounder casue i think its only fair,

and as a tor perspective, they get the center they need and it gives staal a chance to be a number 1 center with a new team, i see him as a leader on a diffren't team that he is not behind crosby and malkin, all great players but i just don't see leafs getting malkin, eklund your such a scrub lol, what you guys think.

I believe (and in no way am a pens fan or anything) that if Pittsburgh looks to move one of their Center's it will be Malkin because (even though a down year) a team will pay a supreme premium on him as he is a young player who not more than a year ago was in the top 3 of players in the NHL. He would be the best bang for buck trade for the Pens. Staal would be a very good 2nd line Center behind Crosby. Plus with the pieces they'd acquire for Malkin it would give Staal even better linemates.

you make a really good point, i could see that for sure, but i mean reason i did not touch malkin is because i saw what carter and richards went for and i was blown away by how little a return they got for them so i figured i would see if staal would work in any way shape or form,

Yeah sure do

One of the best 2 way centerman in the NHL who's already got a pretty good offensive game that's still developing at a pretty good cap hit of 4 million

AND HE'S ONLY 22

I wouldn't trade Kuli for Staal by himself. Staal isn't a #1 Center.

How is he hilarious. If Kulemin+Kadri wasn't traded for Richards he sure as hell won't be traded for someone that isn't a first line player.

Jordan Staal is a great player and a defensive stalwart but he's severely overrated as far as his offensive abilities go.

I don't see what is so funny. Kulimen is the better player imo. If that trade offer is in front of Burke I hope he would decline it as well.

Came into this thread expecting a terrible proposal and some hilarious comments from Leafs fans.

Thread didn't disappoint at all.

As a Canuck fan I tell you I love the way Jordan Staal plays he's a solid 2 way player gotta be considered as 1 of the best pk guys in the NHL

If you can answer me 1 question is there a chance that Malkin moves to the wing on either top 2 lines and Staal moves up to center 2nd line

There's a chance of that happening for sure, it's been done before. I think many predict that in fact will be the case, with Geno playing RW for Staal. Speculation really though at this point, but "is there a chance", yes, most definitely.

Man that's a scary top 6 pens would have then with Neal getting the chance to play with Crosby wow watch out

I've noticed alot on these boards that people don't really give pens alot of respect/credit I mean yeah Dan Bylmsa is a great coach but when the 2 stars went down it was the players that picked up the slack and guys like Staal (proven here) Letang Dupuis and Kennedy dont get alot of credit

Anyways I truly feel the Pens and Canucks are the teams to beat in their conferences so I can't wait to see the pens game 1

I think The Kings and Sharks will have something to say about your Canucks this year.

Everyone has there opinions and are entitled to it but adding Mike Richards isn't going to put last years 7th place team over the top and the Kopitar injury can't be used as an excuse or your gonna end up getting a flood of Canuck fans blaming cup loss on injuries and we all don't want that

I never said anything about injuries. I said they have the talent to give you a run for that Conference title, don't think it will be as easy for the nucks this year.

No I do agree the talent is there but there are others who have talent to hawks/wings I just feel we're the team to beat but we shall see

Forsure team to beat you are the western champs, but that is what will test your team. Everyone wants to beat a champ. I think the hawks and wings will have something to say but i don't see either being there in the end at this point. Hawks/nucks is fun but this year i think is going to be a test for the hawks. Wings are the wings every year they are old and every year they are there lol dunno what to think about that, water maybe ? lol

He's not saying that it will be easy, he said the Canucks will be the team to beat in the West next year, which you actually conceded.

I think you should re-read my last post. Most notably the first line of it.
